The 2024 Smorgasburg season kicked off today, 1/14/2024! While it is not close to me, I usually go at least once or twice a month. It's an ideal spot for outdoor dining with diverse culinary offerings, exploring distinctive shops, and soaking in a positive atmosphere.Smorgasburg LA is open every Sunday on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market in Downtown Los Angeles, which is part of a larger, new development called ROW DTLA.Each Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM, you will find dozens of exciting food vendors plus sophisticated shopping from the realms of design, craft, style, vintage, wellness, and more. Cultural events, pop-ups, and other surprises transform the vast site into a new node in Downtown LA's burgeoning scene, and a unique destination for the area.Today, I tried Pad See Ew from the Radna Silom vendor. In terms of rating for that, I want to give it 4.5 stars due to price and portion ($15+tax and not much on the plate). I remember it being larger before.Overall, it is a must-check out for various foodie options.Tip:-Free 2 hr parking-Take your food outside of the main space and sit in the main ROW area-Go with others to try many things

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL YOU GORDOS OUT THERE!! This spot is bomb. Easy menu. $10 plates!!! My favorites are the pork fried rice and the pork pad see eww. The service is friendly and prompt. Although when it comes to food I do not like to pester the individuals preparing my food. Never a wise thing to do. They post up on the block next to the religious Thai statue ( I don't mean to offend anyone, I just don't know the official name of their deity). They are directly across the street from the Thai bbq restaurant. Chill environment. Al fresco if you will. They accept cash, Apple Pay and card. Bomb food for Netflix and chill, on a budget or you just love bomb Thai food. This spot is it!!!!!! I do recommend. As a matter of fact I was there last night 01/02/2024 and I have some for lunch at work. Thank you for reading my post. Peace!

I love the food here, it tastes very authentic. Sometimes the dishes can be on the smaller side, the portion varies when I'm here (and I come usually once a week) but I use that as an excuse to get two. My favorites: rad na, pad Thai, pad see ew, and papaya salad. All excellent. Each dish is $10. And the warm polite smiling demeanor, just like in Thailand. They aren't here on Wednesdays, even though Google says they are, I made the mistake twice and was very hungry and upset to find them not open.

I visited Lad Nah Silom on a Friday night with my friends and we had a great time enjoying the authentic Thai street food experience. The restaurant is located on Hollywood Blvd, near the Thai Town sign. It has four stalls that offer different dishes, such as rad na, pad thai, papaya salad, grilled meat, and desserts. We ordered a variety of dishes and shared them among ourselves. The rad na crispy noodles were my favorite dish. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with a savory gravy and tender beef slices. The portion was generous and satisfying. The pad thai was also delicious, with tangy tamarind sauce, fresh bean sprouts, and roasted peanuts. The papaya salad was refreshing and spicy, with shredded green papaya, tomatoes, carrots, green beans, and roasted cashews. The grilled meat was juicy and flavorful, with a choice of chicken, pork, or beef skewers. The desserts were sweet and indulgent, with options like mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream, and Thai crepes. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We felt like we were transported to the streets of Bangkok for a night. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I would definitely recommend Lad Nah Silom to anyone who loves Thai food or wants to try something new and exciting. It’s a great place to go with friends or family for a casual and enjoyable meal.

I had very high expectations of this place since I saw it on an IG food post. First of all, I'd give it 4 stars for the authentic street food experience as there are tables and little plastic chairs set up on the sidewalk to eat like you are in Southeast Asia. There were essentially 4 stalls... 1st stall had Thai inspired desserts crepes/mango sticky rice. 2nd stall had an assortment of papaya/vermicelli cold seafood salads & grilled meat. 3rd stall (what I came for) was the Radna/pad Thai/pad-see-ew stir-fry dishes. And last stall had more fried dishes like fried chicken/ fried chicken skins/fried shrimp and such.I was utterly disappointed . Disclaimer: I don't eat beef nor pork. The Radna spot only had pork as an option. Sadly, I chose the pad Thai with tofu and small fried shrimps. I didn't care for the tofu, it seemed like it was marinated and pan fried. The after taste isn't very good. I think fried tofu would've been better. No other protein so dish was lacking. I ordered the bbq chicken plate there based on the suggestion of the girl up front. It missed the mark also. Presentation is great but flavor was lacking. We also ordered from the fried food stall and got some fried shrimp. Nothing spectacular. Tastes like popcorn shrimp. What was unexpected though was the seafood vermicelli salad. It was full of flavor and umami. This was the best dish of the night by far. And of course we had to end the night with mango/sticky rice. That was also okay. Like I said, my experience is only based off of what I ordered. I would've loved to try the wok fried noodle dishes like rad na or even pad kra pao. I only wished they offered other protein choices. As for service, they were very friendly. When you order you get a pager and once it goes off, you can proceed to pick up your food. Sometimes they'll even bring it to your table if you ordered to eat there. Atmosphere was cool... because of the music, the smell of the food being cooked and pleasant weather at night made it a unique experience if you've never tried it before.

A must if you are in the area. Fantastic food and a tremendously authentic down-to-Earth ambience - you will feel like you are eating streetside in Asia (I mean that in the best possible way!).There are several stalls to choose from lined up again the store front - from savory crepes, pan fried noodles, to fried intestines. Some stalls accept debit/credit cards while others only accept cash or have a Zelle set up. Everything is so reasonably priced! Although it gets busy, there is ample seating (seating is plastic stools)Parking can be done via metered street parking, although free parking can also likely be found just West at the Ross and Ralph's center.

The crispy Thai wrap thing I got from here had the cheapest ingredients I've ever seen. Literal basement-level sliced meat, and bologna for sausage? Gimme a break. Disappointed and couldn't even eat all of it. Should've gotten something a little more standard Thai I guess, instead of a quick grab-and-go meal.

Best dish was the papaya salad followed by the cucumber salad. Both fresh and light. I asked for the papaya salad w less spice and it was perfect. Pad Thai was above average and pad see eww was just average. Overall a fun atmosphere on chairs outside like street food in Thailand. All dishes were $10.

After 5 visits, I can confidently say that this is my go-to spot for Pad Thai (which I don't really order much of at other places because they tend to be sweet) and Kra Pao. Pad Thai's well balanced in flavor. Noodles still chewy. The toppings are LEGIT. Kra Pao spice level is great. I used to ask for Thai Medium Spicy (yes, there's a difference between US and Thai spice levels) and now I don't even have to because it's on point. Ambiance makes you feel like you're in Thailand. Service is absolutely amazing all the time too.

1 1/2 minute read:If someone believes I’m wrong about any review, just remember I warned you all: “Don’t follow me. I’m lost.”I’m giving 5 stars for the following reasons??The prepared food items are for customer convenience… like snacks. They have only a small selection. On THAT account, it’s 5 stars but not because it’s they have a varied food selection. Thanks
