Pretty good experience overall. The service is fast and responsive. The atmosphere was very family style and while a little cramped, the space was very well decorated.
I got the breakfast burrito which was pretty standard. Only issue is that the cutlery I had was dull, the fork couldn’t stab anything. Iced latte was very good.
Solid spot for brunch if you can find parking.

Purely by chance, I came across this bakery and cafe on my first afternoon of a week long trip to Beverley Hills. What a gem of an eatery. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, the staff are remarkably friendly and welcoming, and there's a lovely atmosphere about the place. There was no waiting: my order was taken right away and the food was brought to my table in jig time. I was so impressed by Lamalo that I had breakfast there five times during the week. Based on my experience, I'd strongly recommend the cafe to anyone. You're unlikely to be disappointed.

Stopped by this place on a whim and as someone who has lived in LA for over a decade I can honestly say this is by far the kindest staff I’ve ever encountered. I tried the salmon burger it comes with potatoes and salad and everything was delicious. The cream puff was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

We visited LamaLo café with our kids and had a wonderful experience. The waiting time was very short, and the service was extremely kind and welcoming. They took the time to explain each pastry to us, and everything here is made at a very high level. The chocolate chip miso cookie is an absolute must-try, truly the most delicious cookie I’ve ever tasted, and I’m not usually a fan of cookies!
We also had their breakfast with eggs, and everything was tasty, clean, and fresh. Most importantly, the food arrived quickly. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place.

Lamalo Café is a homey but bustling kosher neighborhood café and brunch spot right in the core of Pico-Robertson. The food is great and the service is too. At peak hours, getting a table can be a little challenging, but this is only another testament to the quality of Lamalo's food and environment.

I finally stopped in with a friend after passing this café countless times, always intrigued by the steady crowd gathered out front — and I’m glad we did. Despite its modest exterior, the space opens into a charming, intimate setting with hints of mid-century warmth and subtle Art Deco flair. It feels thoughtful, cozy, and immediately welcoming ✨
The menu reflects the same care. Much of the food is prepared fresh, and you can taste that intention in every bite. We sampled a selection of pastries and cookies — all wonderfully executed, comforting, and deeply satisfying 🍪 I ordered the Eggs Benedict, served on brioche — a delightful twist. The flavors were well-balanced, the hash browns crisp and golden, and the dish overall felt refined yet hearty 🍳 The salmon portion was on the smaller side compared with versions I’ve had elsewhere, but the quality and preparation more than made up for it.
Special mention to Tom, our server, who showed genuine warmth and hospitality once he learned it was our first visit. His kindness and attentiveness elevated the entire experience 🙌
Service was fast, welcoming, and seamlessly in tune with the café’s character. It’s the kind of place that quietly earns its loyal following — and I’m already looking forward to my next visit ☕️💛

Recommended dishes: Breakfast Burrito
Absolutely lovely place. Food excellent even if a bit slow, but well worth waiting for. Pricey compared to other local similar places but again, well worth the extra. Highly recommended. We had the breakfast burrito, the french toast and a croissant which was very fresh and crusty. All of it was excellent. We also really enjoyed their coffee and the large cappuccino was not only a really good cappuccino but was also really large.
