I've encountered so many bakery shops in LA that require you to order weeks in advance! Not Lark! I ordered an icebox cake with a birthday message only 5 days in advance. Easy to order online, pick up was simple and the cake was so delicious and a big hit at my husband's birthday party! Thank you!!!!

Straightforward cake shop. Everything looked delicious and it was hard to decide on one. The lovely lady behind the counter had recommendations, which I love. I ended up getting the coconut. ? I was not disappointed. There was plenty of frosting, it was like a cream cheese with fresh coconut. The cake was also delicious and had a nice delicate crumb and a good flavor. I should have taken a photo but I got too excited.Dietary restrictions: They had vegan and flourless options!

The only thing I could criticize this business was the moody woman behind the counter who seemed so bothered by me picking up an already paid for buche de noel. Now.... When I got home and looked at it ( stupid me for not checking at store- the attitude I got made me want to leave asap) it was perfect!!! The frosting was perfect, the adorable mushrooms, the decorations! I was overjoyed seeing it and as a surprise for my father's visit,couldn't wait to show him. Unable to contain my excitement, I told him about our Christmas desert.. but waited until Christmas .... My father was so excited for the cake and I was as well and I gotta say: This was probably the best cake I have ever had in my life. The cake was so light and fluffy, perfectly rolled with a rich crème which also wasn't heavy?! The flavors so rich and decadent but this cake didn't weigh you down! You could easily enjoy a few slices, dad and I did, without going into food coma! I'm hesitant to try another cake because this cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had... however I'm sure within the next year there will be a need for cake and this is the bakery I'm going to. People who are sad about other bakeries closing should switch their love to the Lark cake shop..... hahah..... funny... I just realized it was a lark that I found this bakery. But this bakery is seriously legit.

Lark Cake Shop was a great find on yelp for someone from out of town. I ordered a chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday and it was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. Thank you for your help, Melissa. Ordering online and via email was super easy.

Favorite cake place in la. I go here every year for my birthday. It's THE ONLY icing I like. I don't scrape off the icing from this place ever. Cake is so moist & nothing is overly sweet. It's a lil pricey but it makes sense, it's good quality. I never had an issue with them being late. Never had an issue where I was too late to pick it up. A solid shop honestly. If they had indoor seating, I would try one of their cupcakes! Thank you guys for making every year special ?

A friend and I came to this shop a couple of Saturdays ago to buy a celebratory cake for a friend. Unfortunately, their day of cake selection was pretty limited and the only had red velvet and carrot cake, but luckily carrot cake is my friends favorite cake so we were in business. They wrote a message on the cake no problem and it dawned on me after the fact that I should have chosen a specific color. The cashier then mentioned they only had light blue frosting to letter the cake anyways so I shouldn't feel like I missed out on something (but why is that the case at an actual cake shop?). Later we surprised our other friend with the cake but the excitement left the room quickly when we realized that we had been given a red velvet cake. None of us like red velvet cake :(

What a Wonderful find! I ordered a cake for the first time! Emailed and called. They were very communicative and responsive! Sent my friend a cake via their delivery service and so happy that it turned out just as expected! My friend was super happy and thankful! They said that the cake was super delicious and wonderful! I don’t typically like to write bad reviews but in this instance, I felt like I needed to. I purchased 6 cupcakes from Lark. They were truly the worst cupcakes I’ve ever eaten. The cake was extremely dry and stale, and the icing tasted like straight butter.

Their cookies and cream round ice box cupcakes are so good! They seem tiny but good enough for two or more people. I don't think it's actually cookies n cream but that's the taste I'd describe it as.Would recommend calling ahead to order because they do sell out fast.Service is great everything is pretty simple you go in get your cake or cupcake and bounce. Only steet parking as well.
