I have visited this establishment perhaps five times at most, over a period of about 20 years. I am not a super fan of tamales in general, but Liliana's Tamales's tamales can make ANYBODY into a tamales enthusiast. Liliana's Tamales offers about 20 to 30 different varieties of of the tamal (correct spelling for ONE tamal — nobody eats "one tamal," though). Many kitchens may offer two to four types of tamal, and each one makes tamales in their own way, and they vary from region to region, country to country. Los Angeles is a melting pot of Mexican-American and Latino-American communities, and the culinary richness and variety of the delicacies that these communities produce is perhaps without par in the world. I have yet to enjoy better tasting tamales anywhere in the world than the tamales I have enjoyed at Liliana's Tamales!

One of the best Cuban restaurant I have tried in the CA area. The place is a hole in the wall in the silver lake/echo park area. Pretty small, but clean with some nice Cuban decoration. I had the pork plate with rice and beans, it was delicious seasoned and very tender, and I also ordered a guanábana juice. Next time I'll try the famous cuban sandwich. Everything was flavorful and the service was very welcoming.
This place is amazing! Wish I knew of it earlier. Authentic and clean flavors. Great service and atmosphere. I will be a regular :)
A fav location for delicious Mexican food. Entered near ten, it was not crowded. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. The place has a good atmosphere.
Family run place. Food was good.
