The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.
best and largest elote i have ever had in LA, can’t recommend enough!
we got some tostilocos and some respados here in el mercadito. So glad we came to Los Angeles and taste many delicious dishes and of course from Las Palmitas all their snacks are amazing!
When we came to el mercadito, the first thing that caught our eye was a crowd of people standing near one vendor selling tostilocos and respados. It's not everyday you see something so appetizing in one place! We quickly realized these were delicious snacks and we needed to try them. WOW really good!
i tried the agua fresca and those are really tasty, my friend had a respado a some elote. I mean you can tried other places but this snack shop had Mexican flavor really!
