This place is excellent for enjoying a traditional Ecuadorian desert. Quesadilla, is unique and you will not get any of them outside Quito.

Everything tastes really good and the tacos are loaded with lots of meat. Good prices too.

We do not recommend them. They do not answer the phone. We have been calling to place an order but no one answers. How do we place an order?
Fantastic hand made tortillas and excellent al pastor, some of the best in north east LA
authentic as it gets. small menu but delicious. they make their own corn tortillas on the spot. corn tortillas are not chewy and really nice to bite into......

I had read an article in Conde Nast Traveler about the place so we decided to stop in for a bite. Didn't realize it was "those type of quesadillas", how embarrassing LOL. No worries! Got to meet Gabriella the owner, so nice and invited us to tour the kitchen, even though it was late in the day on New Years Eve. Such a great story with her and family recipes handed down from her grandparents. Worth a stop in! And I imagine calling her in advance she will give you a tour as well...
The tortillas are handmade! And they use good dough. The roast meat is well seasoned, perhaps it would be better with less salt and a better selection of pieces, since it had some nerve. I tried the melon water, delicious. Maybe they can have lids to cover the sauces, flies can put off most.
We took a short walk around checking out a place to sit down and talk. This was the closest to where we were. We went to get coffee and possibly breakfast. They open at 9:00 am and we arrived just barely in time for their opening. They have limited choices, no sandwiches, only pastries and their specialty, quesadilla. We ordered coffee, biscoquitos con sal and quesadilla; very inexpensive and coffee had a lot of aroma.
We were taken here as part of a walking tour around the city. The Quesadilla and Aplanchado were delicious, staff really friendly, and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend to try some typical Ecuadorian pastries.
Lots of desserts and pastries to choose from. Also very good ice cream. We stopped here more than once why walking around town.
