I had read an article in Conde Nast Traveler about the place so we decided to stop in for a bite. Didn't realize it was "those type of quesadillas", how embarrassing LOL. No worries! Got to meet Gabriella the owner, so nice and invited us to tour the kitchen, even though it was late in the day on New Years Eve. Such a great story with her and family recipes handed down from her grandparents. Worth a stop in! And I imagine calling her in advance she will give you...
The tortillas are handmade! And they use good dough. The roast meat is well seasoned, perhaps it would be better with less salt and a better selection of pieces, since it had some nerve. I tried the melon water, delicious. Maybe they can have lids to cover the sauces, flies can put off most.
We took a short walk around checking out a place to sit down and talk. This was the closest to where we were. We went to get coffee and possibly breakfast. They open at 9:00 am and we arrived just barely in time for their opening. They have limited choices, no sandwiches, only pastries and their specialty, quesadilla. We ordered coffee, biscoquitos con sal and quesadilla; very inexpensive and coffee had a lot of aroma.
