Customer service is always awful. From the stock clerks to the cashiers — no one will acknowledge or even go through the basic motions of did you need a receipt, parking validation, etc. the employees will however loudly talk with each other when they’re ringing you up but will not even give eye contact or any sense of hospitality towards you. The store needs to close for a week and go through training with all of the employees and management.
There’s five grocery stores within a mile radius — If I don’t feel welcomed in the store and all the products are marked up 25% compared to other grocers why would I return?

I go here quite frequently and I have been doing so for years but I finally decided to post a review. The Cashier customer service is really poor here. I don’t need them to chat me up like they do at Trader Joe’s, but they at a bare minimum make eye contact and people when they first come to the register a simple “Hello” will do. At the end of the transaction they should always ask if you want your receipt or need parking validation. Just that would be fine. I have paid close attention my last few interactions to see if maybe they just don’t talk to anyone or make eye contact with anyone. However, each time I make an effort to see if that’s the issue they have no problem chatting it up with their coworkers and making eye contact. I’ve noted this on three different occasions. I’ve also tried to be friendly myself and just give a casual short greeting and it’s not really reciprocated. Again I don’t need much but they should know how to greet customers.

I get that it’s a part time job I do, but they need to step it up a notch. The customer service used to be pretty good here pre and during the pandemic. Then the employees were all older. I hate to say it but maybe it’s bad because it’s younger people. Whatever the case they need to do better, it’s getting the point where I dread going to the store. Management if you are at fault for making them miserable stop because it’s impacting the customer service experience.

Tonight at 8:55 pm I went to the store and the security already locked the door…8:55 ..!! The hours to close it’s 9 pm …!! No 8:55 pm … No 8:50 pm . I don’t know how the store manager can accept this practice … to close the door 5 or 10 minutes before ..!! That’s the pure reflection of the customer service..!! They don’t care the customers they only care themselves… they only care that at 9 pm … they close and leaving home period .!!
If don’t want to work after 9 pm .. change the hrs…!!

Well, it didn’t take long for them to screw it up after I stopped coming here for 2 years because of horrible store management and employees. They replaced the store employees for the most part. That's a step in the right direction and it's welcoming unlike before.I come to buy from the hot bar on Friday at 5 o’clock and nothing. See photo. The young kid claims they’re sold out. There was barely anyone in the store. He decides to defend it and makes no apology. I did not care for his attitude.The biggest weakness of the store is the deli area. There's no cashier and you have to pay up front and come back and then leave. It's an inconvenient process.I’ll go back to Erewhon more often until this store get its act together!Wit the hot bar, they need to order correctly. There is also nothing online as to what the hot bar menu has each day.

Great service, and I wanted to point out that a worker named Tony was very friendly and considerate and provided excellent service.

I usually go there to get “Raw” milk. Good place for organic and high quality grocery shopping.
