Well, it didn’t take long for them to screw it up after I stopped coming here for 2 years because of horrible store management and employees. They replaced the store employees for the most part. That's a step in the right direction and it's welcoming unlike before.I come to buy from the hot bar on Friday at 5 o’clock and nothing. See photo. The young kid claims they’re sold out. There was barely anyone in the store. He decides to defend it and makes no apology. I did not care for his attitude.The biggest weakness of the store is the deli area. There's no cashier and you have to pay up front and come back and then leave. It's an inconvenient process.I’ll go back to Erewhon more often until this store get its act together!Wit the hot bar, they need to order correctly. There is also nothing online as to what the hot bar menu has each day.

I stopped coming here 2 years ago as corporate never responded to my emails. Big improvement with store employees. It use to be horrible. The new staff are more polite and welcoming. The lines can still be a bit long at times but running a business isn't easy. There are still issues. 1. The hot/salad bar could use an update. It's ok but the quality isn't quite there for the price. Too much oil in the pasta and the eggs can be a bit salty. It would be far better with lids for hot foods.2. The deli/juice bar has no cashier. If you order a sandwich or juice you have to go up front to pay and then come back. It's one of the reasons why I don't regularly go.The juice is reasonably priced and they could be selling more if they promoted it better.

The store is great, but they are always selling out of the raw vegan pesto kelp noodles. I check every 1-2 days and ask then to order more. But they are always out of stock. I also love the raw vegan Texas BBQ Jerky sticks! Life safer when you are a raw vegan on the go! Please order more of those too!

The staff is incredibly inconsiderate and very rude. The produce is rotten, prices are somewhat ok but the attitude of the people who work here is why i will never bring my business to a lassens grocery ever again.

I was there to process a return. Cashiers tried covering for the manager that was at lunch, whom had originally told them he’d be back by in an hour and at that point 29 minutes remained. I waited thinking it was 4:30 and I could wait for 20 minutes. When it was 5 I asked the staff and was told conflicting information, some staff thought he’d return within 20 minutes and the other staff thought he’d return at 5:30. I ended up waiting for over an hour and a half. The security guard was rude and she overstepped telling me “ the manager is human and deserves to eat” she also said she was I charge.When the manager finally showed up they told me I had to process my return at the Lassens where I had originally bought the items. I waited over an hour and a half to get that response. The manager apologized for his staff’s behavior and for them failing to notify him that a customer was there to process a return. This branch needs to do a lot to have quality customer service on multiple fronts.
When Lassens first opened in the neighborhood many years ago, we were all overjoyed because at last there was a reasonably priced organic market nearby with both fresh and prepared foods. Unfortunately, they have really made a 180'. Their prices have skyrocketed -- they are LITERALLY more expensive than Erewhon but without the quality or attention to detail and the customer service is dismal. The management really needs to reconsider their over pricing of items and food offerings altogether.

I love this store. It's always so clean, and the hot food is so delicious, I like to stop by and grab something to eat on my way to the park. The kombucha selection is the best. 10/10. My fav grocery store in town. Thanks to the wonderful, attentive staff!!

One of my fav places to go for groceries, not sure what has changed in the recent times but there is a big different feel in the store. The staff has been friendly, attentive and welcoming. Whatever they did, it has been working. Produce looks well maintained and fresh. A quick dash to the hot bar on my lunch break is always amazing.

I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich on my lunch break at 2p on 7/12/23. I hadn't eaten a single thing all day. By 4p I was experiencing mild nausea. By 6p I was experiencing severe cramps. You can imagine everything that came next! Food poisoning with ALL of the symptoms. I've also missed a day of work to recover. Isreal, the manager argued that food poisoning symptoms take 48-72 hours to appear. Where in the world did he get his food prep education from? He didn't even consider investing the concern to make sure nobody else get sick!

DONT EVER EVER EAT HERE! I visited the deli yesterday 7/12/23 on my lunch break from work. I hadn't eaten a single thing all day and was very excited to order my favorite chicken pesto sandwich. I started feeling queasy after a couple of hours. By the end of my work day, I was experiencing severe cramps, nausea, and chills. My hour long drive home was miserable. Luckily, I was able to make the drive without having to pull over. I'm experiencing ALL of the food poisoning symptoms(I'll spare the details), which has now cost me a day of work in order to recover. I called the store and spoke with Israel(the manager). He offered to comp a meal on my next visit or give me a refund. He then proceeded to deflect the blame and argue that food poisoning symptoms do not appear for 48-72 hours after consuming contaminated food! Umm, excuse me?! You've got to be kidding me. NOW IM MAD! Lassens, you should be taking the proper precautions to ensure nobody else gets sick! Anyway, I won't be eating here anymore.
