Le Bar de Simon Reviews
Soirée en compagnie de ma fille pour fêter son diplôme. Super accueil, repas excellent. Je recommande fortement 👍🏻👍🏻
Visited for Mother’s Day dinner and it was fabulous. The owner is amazingly sweet and attentive and the food was amazing. The galettes are a must try!
Menu
Le Bar de Simon is a charming French bistro that offers an authentic and memorable dining experience. The coq au vin remains a highlight, with its rich and flavorful sauce. The cocktails are creative and tasty, and the buckwheat crêpes are a must-try, described as "amazing fluffy and light." The restaurant provides friendly and efficient service, and its country French charm adds to the cozy atmosphere. The la restaurant week menu is highly praised, especially the French onion soup, which is made gluten-free and has great depth of flavor with delicious gooey cheese, and the beef bourguignon, which has been stewed for hours and is very flavorful. Desserts, including the crêpe and chocolate mousse, are truly exceptional, with some guests crying over them. The ice cream is also noted as outstanding. The galette offers a variety of fillings that complement each other well, though some find it slightly on the blander side and wish for more salt or saltier cheese. The ambiance is tranquil and relaxed, providing a nice escape from daily life. The service is solid and knowledgeable about the menu and wine, and parking on the street is easy. However, some guests feel the food is overpriced, with the soup and galettes costing more than expected considering their simple ingredients. Overall, the experience includes great food, unique cocktails, and excellent service, leaving diners eager to return and explore more menu items, especially the crepes and desserts.
