Made dinner reservations prior to a concert at The Fonda... the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding and memorable. Appetizers - all were a crowd favorite 1- Grilled Sourdough bread with a side of butter (sprinkled with salt crystals) 2- Crispy Brussel Sprouts 3- Burrata with side of mushrooms m veggies Dinners- again, resounding crowd favorite 1- Lemon Shiso Pasta 2- Guajillo Roasted Branzino 3- Charred Cabbage Tikka Masala Desserts- left no crumbs 1- Banana Cake 2- Black Velvet Cake Cocktails were all refreshing and not too sweet. Will be looking for a reason to return to this place. Gotta see what's playing at The Pantages. ;)
Food was great! Best place if going to the Pantages!! The Lemon Shiso Pasta and simple sourdough bread with salted butter was perfect!
When we got there, we were told that the Open Table reservations were for 2 not 3 people. My confirmation said 3. We were given a table but told we would need to leave within 1 1/2 hours. Fortunately this worked out fine. We split 3 meals: the Brussels and kale salad were delicious. The eggs Benedicts were served tepid and overcooked. The server did offer to bring a new order but time didn't allow. The restaurant was lovely and had a very nice patio. Parking was great because we were able to go to the Pantages for a show and leave our car there.
Perfectly nestled in Hollywood in the Aster Hotel. Dined here for the first time before a matinee performance at the Pantages Theater. Food was delicious with lots of breakfast and lunch options. The server was helpful in suggesting dishes that were sharable and complimented each other. Service time was perfect in that we had a leisurly brunch then walked the 2 minutes to the theater. Beautiful rooftop ambiance. Can't wait to come back for an evening dinner and to hang on the patio.
We were running a bit late and had 8:00 tickets to the Pantages. Our hostess was so sweet (brown hair, plaid skirt, just lovely) and when we checked in she reviewed our settings in Open Table to make sure that everything was still current like allergies where we would like to sit, etc. she seated us at a great corner table inside the restaurant. We waited a bit and I couldn't find a server. A server who was not assigned to our table offered to help us. Her name was Taylor G and when we told her we had tickets for the 8 o'clock show, she told us not to worry and that she would make sure that we were in and out of the restaurant in time to catch the show. She made wonderful suggestions of what we should have especially with the time crunch. She got us a bottle of wine and we tucked in for an amazing meal and albeit short, we had a fantastic time. Thank you to everyone at Lemon Grove, your service and food was fantastic.
This was the first time at this beautifully designed place, our bartender, and server Taylor were excellent and on point. The food and the suggestions were great! However, the Hostess, a female, had a very disheartening attitude. Upon our arrival, we were about 40 minutes early, there were plenty of tables available, she told us that she could not seat us, which we were completely fine with, she told us that she would come get us in 10 minutes, so we went to the Bar. We understood that we were early, and it was not a problem. After about 20 minutes, we walked back over to her, and we asked again if we could be seated, after seeing others being seated, and she told us, your reservation is at 6:00, in 10 minutes, and we have to seat all the people that are late before you. The tone was not the quality of customer service that we expected from a restaurant that came highly recommended. The rest of the evening turned out very nice with the other staff. Another hostess, a very kind African American women, helped us to our seats. Thank God, everyone else made up for her missteps. If we return we hope she is not there.
We had a fantastic experience at Lemon Grove! From the moment we were greeted all the way to saying goodbye all of the staff were warm, helpful and filled with smiles. The ambience is wonderful; it's a haven off of the bustle of Hollywood Blvd. We want to give a special shout out to our server, Travis. He was truly a pleasure. And, wow! The food!! In our group of 5 there was not one meal that was not loved. We highly recommend the Lemon Grove!
I love the Lemon Grove, its ambience and spectacular views, even on this rainy day. The food was delicious, as always, and the service friendly and attentive!
Our Go To Spot for delicious shareable small plates and mains served in a chic but comfortable outdoor setting near the Pantages. Nice selection of cocktails, mocktails and wines by the glass.
When you need to ask for salt and pepper, you know the food has not been seasoned correctly. Burrata was flavorless. Brussels were undercooked. We still had to pay for them. Rigatone was watery. Mac & cheese was ok. Sourdough was unremarkable. Also "we ran out propane for the heaters" on a cool night sitting outside lol. Overall really disappointing. Would not go back.

Great place to grab a bite before a show at the Pantages. The staff was excellent and on point and got us out in plenty of time.. I will definitely go back to enjoy the outside rooftop and fabulous view.
The entire experience was wonderful. The rooftop gardens with the Capital records building in the background was nostalgic. Drinks were creative and especially good. Service couldn't have been better. We received just the right amount of attention and some excellent menu suggestions. Prices of the entrees were very reasonable. The Lemongrove will be my brunch go to spot!
I made a reservation for 6:15 PM, as we were going to the Pantages for a show at 8. I had indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating my husband's birthday. We arrived early and were told to wait, as our table wasn't ready. The hostess said she would text me when they were ready to seat us. When our reservation time arrived and I had not received a text, we returned to the hostess to see if our table was ready. Long story short, there were no available tables for the 3 of us at that time nor in the foreseeable future, so she offered to seat us at the bar, where the full menu was available. Not the birthday dinner I had planned, but we didn't have time to wait and it was too late to go anywhere else. If it hadn't been for Ash, the bartender, who took our drink and food order, made pleasant conversation, and generally took it upon herself to make sure we enjoyed our time, our experience at Lemon Grove would have been marred by disappointment. Although she was working nonstop filling drink orders, she did it with a smile and was an absolute delight, not just to the 3 of us, but to the other 5 people eating at the bar. She was more attentive than any server we would have had at a table. That being said, the food was delicious and brought to us quickly. Valet parking was convenient as we were able to leave our car there while we attended the show. The restaurant is only a half block away from the Pantages. Make sure you tell the host/hostess at the restaurant that you're going to a show. They will give you a sticker for reduced price on the valet parking. We will likely return to the restaurant, but will make a much earlier reservation, and hope the next time we come they will honor our reservation time. Thank you, Ash, for saving the night!
The ambiance and atmosphere are excellent. We waited 45 minutes after ordering drinks to receive them. This appeared to be related to our server, which was overwhelmed with too many customers. It took another 20 minutes to get our food, so about 1 hour, while everyone around us received their drinks before we did. The drinks were excellent and enjoyable. The food was mediocre. We started with the grilled sourdough which was saturated with butter. The crispy pototoes were good but the grilled brococolini was mainly stems rather than heads. The main couse was the short rib pasta and Branzino. The pasta was good but the branzino tasted and looked like Telapia from the freezer section. Go for drinks, view, ambiance, and skip the food.
Very beautiful place with very high prices. Good service and ambiance . Not sure that makes up for the very high prices.
