Food all had a different take on something traditional. In a good way! It elevated it!
Cooked to perfection!
We had the hummus n pita.
The noodles “ with curry”. The fresh sourdough with butter.
Service needs a tad more experience. ( hostess deleted reservation. Waitress missed 1 item we ordered)
The place was clean. Restroom was clean.
DJ PLAYED great music.
The view was perfect.
Eating outdoors in a congested area was greatly needed .
What we ordered made my tastebuds happy!
Food: 3.5/5.0
🤍 Disappointment: I thought lemon pasta is made of lemon juice with the color, but it's actually yellow curry not refreshing and light as I thought but instead salty and heavy.
Chermoula is waste of money. To me just hummus with more flavor and texture. Not recommended.
💛 Highlight: avocado toast is impressive with orange jam underneath the avocado mash that gives different layers of texture. I love it.
🩵 Mediocre: Bougie caviar with chips is expected nothing special.
Cocktails are fine. I got lemon one (forgot what exactly it is) and regular aperol spritz (a huge one). Nothing extraordinary.
Ambiance is lovely. 4.5/5
Perfect spot for brunch! Rooftop of a private clubhouse surrounded by lemon trees. You can see Capital Records across the street.
Poor service, Discriminative and average quality of Drinks/cocktails.
We had a reservation at 9:30 pm (obviously we chose it based on the reviews). As we entered the restaurant, there was no one to attend, servers started coming in and looked away from us even when we called them.
Finally, after 10 min (9:40) they gave us a spot which is in the corner and poorly lit.
Even though the restaurant was empty, we sat on a table of our choice, we were asked to move to that spot.
We had just 5 minutes to order food. We ordered hastily (as we were hungry). The cocktails were average and diluted. And we spent a hefty amount for such a bad night and average cocktails!
If they didn't want to serve us they should have just said so!!!
I haven't experienced such a cold welcome anywhere, felt discrimination of some sort.
Won't visit or recommend this place to anyone, especially to internationals.
I really love this space. It’s super underrated in terms of vibe.
The menu is ok, I hear they hired a new Chef who opened Beauty and Essex and excited for the new menu they will have soon.
Highly recommend going back and continuing to see how the menu and space is elevated.
Great place for date night
Lemon Grove is has a fantastic rooftop bar and also an elegant inside restaurant at The Aster in Hollywood, offering stunning views, a laid-back yet sophisticated ambiance, and a great happy hour. The menu features fresh, seasonal dishes with Mediterranean influences, complemented by creative cocktails. Service is friendly and attentive, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing evening with great food, drinks, and city views.
We had a few different unique and delicious pastas
Good Happy hour
Had a drink and dinner at the bar. Great service from all the bartenders.
The moonlight drive was delicious, carajillo equivalent with a little extra.
Lemon pasta worth it if you enjoy lemon and garlic refreshing flavors.
The one duck taco was enough of an appetizer and very tender and flavorful.

Ethereal space with solid food but rough service.
Cocktails were solid, wine selection limited but decent, no beer on tap (cans and bottles only). Appetizers were yummy: fantastic salmon tartare with nice toast (look out Perch!) and Aster meatballs (albeit a little on the salty side) and the portions quite generous. The entrees were likewise solid and filling: lemon pasta (dreamy) and short-rib rigatoni (chewy, meaty, and cheesy). Service was a challenge. Waiter disappeared for a long stretch b/w apps and main dish. When after finishing the pasta I asked for bread to sop up the delightful lemon foam leftover, I was informed it would a $5 extra charge (honestly, for just a slice of the thick toasty bread I had with the salmon tartar?). Being under the open night sky on the roof with heaters was lovely but be aware the rooftop is too low to provide any real expansive views (in case that's what you're looking for).

Perfectly ok place before a Pantages show, the type of restaurant where they don’t seem to care if you ever return because they’re in a hotel in a busy area. Nothing was standout good, but also nothing was a problem. The level of fusion seemed a little confused.

Upscale and elegant restaurant on the rooftop of The Aster hotel. They have indoor and outdoor seating (with heaters). Loved the ambiance and decor. Food was delicious too and reasonably priced.
It is next to Pantages theatre, if you want to dine before/after a show. Plenty of parking structures/lots in the area. The entrance is on Vine st, take an elevator to the 6th floor.
