Interesting history, funky place but it's a deli not a cafe. Couldn't use a credit card for coffee. Surprisingly popular with tourists

Got coffee and was told cash or Venmo only. Paid cash. A friend who’s a regular was uncomfortable when she was asked to request more payment from me a few days later because of the cashier’s mistake. ??♀️
