Conchitas are one of my all time favorites at this place and bolillo. Oh they have amazing caldo de Pollo, super fresh organic chicken Mexican Style with the pata and all if you get lucky! The meal comes with Pollo asado, rice and beans...so good!!! Enough for 2, unless you're super hungry....RICE IS SO ? GOOD.

This place is amazing I ate one of there conchas and it made me gain abs and a lean body and 50 million dollars in my bank account and once I got home I saw the top G and he told me that that's how he became the person he is today by eating bread from lily's cakes and bakery so I would say1 recommend this place 10/10

The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.

I'm new to this Mercadito. I stopped by yesterday to buy Chiles secos for my mom, and right next door, there's Lily's panaderia. Of course, my eyes glistened when I saw the custard pan. I bought about 10 pieces of pan dulce. Different flavors. All so delicious, by the way. I shared it with my family. Overall, the custards filled are our favorite. Service is very friendly.It's a small panaderia, and it gets crowded quickly. There's a flow, so you're in and out quick. Sad I don't live close by. I'm from San Bernardino County. But since I work in L.A. I'm definitely going to stop by to buy more pan dulce.

Cookies were great! Picked up some Nuez powdered sugar cookies and inhaled them, along with some shortbread strawberry jam mini cookies. Picked up some bread, a bit overpriced and some was kind of harder than I expected. The bundt marble cake sprinkled with powdered sugar thoooo ! I'm mad I didn't get more. I always enjoy coming to El Mercadito for tons of goodies. They have several other options such as cakes, flans and others.

I was very impressed with decorating skills. Though she said decorating cakes with real flowers was not her specialty, she agreed to use the orchids I brought her.
