Great service, delicious food and soulful vibes, Feels more like going to a friend's house for a dinner party than a restaurant. Will definitely return the next time I am in L.A. 💜💛

I had such an amazing experience at Linden — from the moment we walked in, we were treated like family (honestly, more like VIPs). Jaidan at the host stand set the tone right away with a warm welcome, and that level of hospitality carried through the entire night with the bartenders and even security. Every single person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
Now let’s talk about the food… SO good. I ordered the duck fat fries and the Linden Burger, and both were absolutely incredible. Everything came out perfectly cooked and full of flavor — you can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. What really stood out was that Chef John came around to check on tables personally, which made the experience feel even more special and thoughtful.
The atmosphere truly feels like home — comfortable, lively, and full of good energy. The staff doesn’t just serve you; they make you feel like you belong there.
After dinner, we headed over to Dot for drinks and kept the night going. That was just as fun! Kalin was our bartender and made amazing drinks. I couldn’t decide what to order, and the cocktail recommendation was spot-on.
Overall, it was such a memorable experience, and the staff made a lasting impression on me (clearly, since I remember everyone’s names lol). I’ll absolutely be back and would recommend Linden to anyone looking for great food and even better hospitality.

Was only in LA for 48 hours, and this was our non-negotiable first stop. Originally we just stopped in because I’m a massive fan of Steelo and Alahna (W&W fam), but if ever we are back in LA, this will now be our go-to because everything was incredible. The service was impeccable *shout out Fernando*, the lobster and crab knuckle sandwich was deadly, and the whole experience was spectacular!

Great food, strong drinks, and sophisticated chill vibes. I recommend their duck fat fries (I always get them) comes with a nice dipping sauce topped with caviar. Jalisco sour, Coupe if Joe, and another drink with burbon and pineapple demerra are perfectly crafted. The jerk duck and steak were yummy. Try pairing each bite of the steak with the mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. Both dishes I would honestly recommend trying. It was my first time trying duck and have no regrets. The service was great. I enjoyed the music and lighting. Valet is recommended

I’m leaving this review as a warning to others because I first reached out to the restaurant directly about this experience and never received a reply.

My group prepaid $333 per person for Linden’s New Year’s Eve prix fixe dinner (second seating, 10:00 PM reservation). Unfortunately, the night was disorganized from the start and felt extremely poorly managed.

It took about 30 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Then we didn’t receive our bread course until more than an hour into the meal, and only after we asked for it. One server even told us the bread listed on the menu wasn’t included—we had to literally show the menu to confirm that it was part of what we already paid for.

By around 11:30 PM, we still had not received anything substantial to eat, and were still waiting on courses like Caesar salad, which should not take long to prepare. When I asked what was going on, I was told there were only four people working in the back. I understand staffing challenges happen, but this was New Year’s Eve—a premium, prepaid holiday event where guests planned their night around this experience. It genuinely felt like the evening had not been planned for at all.

The service continued to fall apart:
• The champagne toast happened before our starters arrived
• Food came out completely out of order
• We received both desserts before our mains
• One dessert was literally melting on the table while we waited, because no one expects to eat dessert before lobster/steak
• When my steak finally arrived, it was completely blue and inedible (and I’m someone who normally eats medium rare)

By the time everything was done, it was approaching 2:00 AM. The entire night was overshadowed by delays and errors instead of feeling special or celebratory.

Given the extent of the service breakdown, I expected at minimum an acknowledgment or attempt to make it right. Instead, we were still charged for drinks, and ended up spending around $400 per person to leave feeling taken advantage of on a holiday night.

We chose Linden in good faith and trusted this experience would reflect care, planning, and respect for guests’ time and money. It did not. I unfortunately cannot recommend Linden, especially for any prepaid or special event.

I was deeply disappointed with my dining experiences at Linden, and unfortunately, this will be my last visit.

My husband and I first dined at Linden shortly after its grand opening, and the experience was exceptional. The cocktails, Brussels sprouts, oxtail wagyu pie, duck fat fries, lobster reggaetoni, and overall service were outstanding. Based on that visit, we were excited to return.

We came back in February 2025 hoping to relive that experience, but were met with disappointment. The wagyu pie we loved was no longer on the menu, the Brussels sprouts and duck fat fries were burnt, and both the half chicken and fish entrĂŠes were underwhelming. To make matters worse, our waitress spilled most of my drink while serving it and did not offer to replace it. We tried to be understanding and assumed it was simply an off night.

Our third and final visit on January 2, 2026 was meant to be a last chance—and sadly, it confirmed our concerns. We were running late for our 7:00 pm reservation and called the restaurant around 6:45 pm to notify them we would be about 20 minutes late. There was no option to speak to anyone, so I left a voicemail. Upon arrival, I explained this to the hostess, only to be met with a dismissive and rude response stating no call was received. She abruptly informed us we had two hours to dine and seated us without any warmth or courtesy. This immediately set a negative tone for the evening.

After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before being greeted by a waiter with curly hair whose name began with an “M.” He informed us our main server, Simone, was on break and that he would be assisting us in the meantime. The interaction felt rushed and lacked the professionalism and hospitality we experienced on previous visits. No proper introduction, explanation of specials, or welcoming gesture was offered.

As the evening continued, we noticed staff attentively checking on surrounding tables while we were left waiting. Even after a complimentary appetizer from the chef, we waited roughly 15 minutes for someone to check on us or take our order. During this time, Simone was visibly moving around the dining room but did not acknowledge our table. When the initial waiter finally returned, he appeared annoyed and rushed us through ordering. At that point, we were informed—again, rudely—that the wagyu pie listed on the menu was unavailable. That was the final straw, and we decided to order only small plates.

What made this experience particularly upsetting was observing the same waiter warmly greet and attentively serve a newly seated couple next to us—an African American man and a Caucasian woman—offering them a friendly introduction and explaining the menu and specials, courtesies that were never extended to us. As an African American couple who has spent well over a thousand dollars at this restaurant across multiple visits, this disparity in treatment felt deeply insulting and discriminatory—especially given that Linden is a Black-owned establishment.

As for the food, the Caesar wedge was decent, the duck fat fries were noticeably lower in quality than during our first visit, lacking richness and overwhelmed by seasoning, and while the lobster sandwich was good, we chose not to order anything further.

I once enthusiastically recommended Linden to friends, family, and coworkers after our first visit. Sadly, I now regret those recommendations and feel obligated to share our honest experience. We left feeling disrespected, disappointed, and deeply let down.

Really good experience, cool vibe and excellent service. Had the Cesar salad, duck fat fries and brussel sprouts to start. Had the snapper and the duck for the mains which were both delicious. And ended with the bread pudding which was outstanding. It's a pricey dinner but worth it for a special occasion.

I had the Bama Smoke. It was smoked chicken with a sauce that had a kick, served with hush puppies, fried collars and potato puree. The dish was very good. I will definitely go back.

Coming from Chicago, I heard LA isn’t really a “food city,” but Linden proved me completely wrong. We stopped by for the late-night menu, and every single thing we ordered was delicious. The service was smooth, quick, and so friendly (s/o to Darien)! The whole team was warm and welcoming, and the vibes were honestly perfect. Can’t wait to come back on my next trip to LA!

Amazing food, ambience, and service!!

Very much a special occasion experience. Guests will be impressed. I can’t wait to go back.

After the first bite I started taking pics of the food because I knew I would be leaving a review.

Bread with butter shaped like a fried chicken drummette was gourmet and whimsical and had caviar. So appreciated. This is not your run of the mill menu, this is culinary art.

Tempura lemon pepper Brussels sprouts were a home run. Must try.

Duck fat fries: delicious and well executed. Not really fries but puréed on the inside and crisp on the outside. If you’ve never had potato prepared like this before you are in for a delicious experience. The dipping sauce is topped with caviar and we give thanks.

Duck: another home run. Super flavorful and delicious and creative. Great portion. I would get this entree again.

Lamb: small portion plated beautifully. I loved the green side dish, collard greens snitzel or something like that. I loved it. I would order the side by itself. I don’t think the lamb was one of the highlights especially not with the way my friends devoured the burger and the snapper!!

I want to come back and try the whole menu!

Dessert was the peach pie and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was delicious! The peach thing was dry and disappointing. The chef came by and checked in on us. He was very personable and shared that he never liked peach cobbler so his take on it was very crust forward because to him, the crust is the best part….so I guess it helps to know that he made it like that on purpose…but my table of 4 didn’t even bother finishing it.

All in all fantastic experience. Would recommend to everyone. I saw a very diverse room and everyone seemed to be comfortable and enjoying themselves. The bar was lively. The room is gorgeous.

This place is a gem. 💎

Food is pretty good. But the prices are out of control. $42 for a vesper martini and don’t get me started on the food prices. Looking around the tables people are ordering 1 appetizer and 1 entree at most for most tables. A bunch of free water on the tables too. Consider the prices of cocktails that makes sense. Wine prices seem reasonable though

Fun atmosphere. Eclectic crowd. Imaginative cuisine. Valet parking available. Speakeasy next door.
