I am so thankful for this coffee shop. It's so great that they are right around the corner. They've made the whole corner look beautiful. It's so common inside. I get to have a little snack and a little drink right in our neighborhood. They have little gifts to buy when I'm in a pinch. There's always lovely people sitting outside talking. It adds so much to the community.

Horrendous customer service on Friday afternoon from a gentleman who handled my "cream cheese toast". He was extremely rude. I like to visit different coffee shops around LA, but this one was a very uncomfortable visit due to the staff. I didn't feel welcomed at all from the folks working behind the counter. The espresso wasn't very good either. I ordered a decaf vanilla latte and the espresso tasted over burnt and they failed to but vanilla in my latte. If you live nearby, I would check another coffee shop and I wouldn't visit this one.

My favorite coffee shop whenever I have a work trip in LA! I highly recommend the sandwiches, empanadas, coffee, and kombucha. The employees are all kind and super helpful too. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

Stepping into Lo/Cal Coffee and Market is like diving into a latte filled with laughs – it's where Stumptown coffee beans and organic Strauss milk mix up a brew-tiful tale. This spot is not just about sipping coffee; it's a place where toast meets jest and salads dress up in puns, all while Argentinean empanadas add a dash of humor. It's the perfect blend of Southern California vibes and a community that knows how to espresso itself with a smile.
I've been a couple times and the coffee is pretty good, nice ambiance etc. However on my last visit I was upset to see a 9.5% sales tax charged for my to-go cappuccino, as well as a 3% credit card surcharge. In CA, hot beverages such as coffee and tea are not taxable if sold to-go. I did not notice any signs indicating that there would be a fee for credit card transactions. For these two reasons, I will not return.

The egg avocado sandwich is my favorite thing there! We also ordered the yogurt parfait and it looked really good. I would definitely try it next time i come here. The coffee is good. The atmosphere is a great place for a ‘work’ & ‘study’ vibe. They have doggy treats for your pet!The only downside is it’s not a big place with a lot of seating so you might not find a place to sit. Anyway, i highly recommend.
This has been my go to place during an extended stay in LA. The food is delicious, the staff delightful and if you want to sit quietly to work on read this is the place to go. Weather permitting I enjoy sitting outside. Have not eaten anything that hasn't been delicious and I have made my way around the menu!
