Barely any vegan options. Cashier wasn’t sure what was vegan.

They don't answer the phone even early in the morning - call for simple question

I work in delivery and have received orders from this store several times. I showed them my order and stood waiting for about 25-30 minutes. Several employees stood with their backs to me and walked past me. Seeing me standing there for so long, no one even paid me any attention, as if I were a ghost. It turns out the order had been ready for a long time, but no one cared

Lodge Bread in Los Angeles is such a cool spot! 🥖☕ The vibe is relaxed and creative — the kind of place where you instantly feel the LA energy but still want to stay for hours. The food is excellent, especially the freshly baked sourdough and their amazing toasts and sandwiches. Everything feels wholesome and made with care. And the coffee? Absolutely incredible — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. Whether you’re coming for breakfast, lunch, or just a quick coffee break, Lodge Bread is one of those places you’ll definitely want to come back to. Grtzz from Amsterdam 💛

Stopped by The Bread Factory in DTLA and was really impressed. Great location, delicious food, and a super professional staff. Everything was fresh and served quickly. Definitely a spot I’d go back to again — highly recommend!

Who knew a bakery could deliver such smooth, attentive service while serving delicious woodfire pizzas and perfect toasts?

If you like awesome baked goods this is your place. Breads, especially the seeded country loaf are great and those morning buns wow. Pizza after 5:00pm- Full Proof Pizza, naturally leveled NY style pies are fantastic.

Update given the response from Lodge Bread- i did let my disappointment about the pizza being removed impact my review a lot as it was my main reason for going previously but now I have hope that I can have my favorite pizza again! Will definitely follow the pizza shop opening(s?).
Today without the pizza I did take a loaf home (seed loaf I think) and it is great, maybe better than the country loaf. Also recommend the turkey pesto, Salame Rosa, and tuna sandwiches. I also have taken home their pizza dough (baked really well in my home oven) and use their starter for my own sourdough at home.

Been coming to lodge for maybe 2 years now. Always enjoyed their pizzas and I'm devastated that they took it off the menu. Overtime that I came, there would be multiple tables with different pizzas. Have a lot less of a reason to fight for parking for sandwiches.

Lodge Bread lives up to the neighborhood buzz: their morning baguette had a perfect crackle and the crumb was airy and flavorful. I grabbed a ham-and-cheese croissant that tasted housemade, not from some mass bakery chain. Service was friendly and they boxed my more fragile pastries with care. The shop is small and often has a short line, but turnover is quick. Excellent spot for weekend bread runs

Good bread, terrible attitude. I've been buying bread from them for years, around once or twice per month. Today, I had to return a loaf because it was burnt. I took it back -- all the loaves of that type were burnt, so I chose a different type. I was running late and told them I switched. They sent a muscle guy after me to accuse me of stealing a more expensive loaf -- yelling at me in front of all customers that I was stealing bread. I've spent thousands of dollars on their bread. He said that their bread is not burnt and I showed him they were all burnt. They insisted that I wait in line to pay the difference. I left a $50 bill on the counter and asked that they just sell their burnt bread to someone else. Good bread, but the store hates their loyal customers.
