Cool place owner treats the employees pretty bad

This spot has some really cool plants as you walk in (fiddle figs, pathos, money tree, etc). I was totally oblivious to the hours of operations from 8-3pm and stumbled in at 7:20am asking for two coffees. The guy at the counter totally could of said no, but didn't and totally appreciate it. If you're in Glendale area...come by and check them out.

My first time at Lola cafe, the service was great, I had the Ribeye Chilaquiles & Horchata Latte. The Ribeye steak had more fat than meat, the sunny side up egg was cold and the yoke was over cooked and hard. I was so excited to have the Horchata Latte, however the coffee did not taste like Horchata, the flavor was a strong espresso flavor. I don’t mind paying $30 for any plate of Good food cooked well, but this plate is over priced for the quality of food and drink I received. I paid over $100 for 3 people, and my plate was the only $30 plate.

Were looking for a breakfast spot and this place came up. Ended up ordering lunch because I couldn't resist the carnitas torta. It was really good, a little on the salty end, which I personally don't mind, but other people might not like. My partner ordered the Ribeye Chilaquiles, and it was good, but it was missing a spice factor, maybe because of the area they tamed it on the spice. We got a couple drinks, a Jamaica, Matchata Latte, and a Oaxaca Choco-Latte. All of them were really good, not too sweet except for the Jamaica, which we watered down a bit which isn't a problem for us. Overall this place is very good, and very busy so try and be patient with the staff.

Lola Café is a cute lil breakfast and lunch cafe that serve classic Mexican-American cuisine. They are located on Colorado blvd in Eagle Rock LA which seems very popular among locals. We arrived on a late Saturday morning to grab brunch; we were greeted by a female host with obeisance. We requested to be seated inside with no hesitation. Surprisingly, there was no waitlist which normally they would have on a weekend.Lola Cafe is a self serving order cafe, thereby, you need to pay at the counter first after you sat at your table. Menu has modest selection of food, salads, tea, coffee and juices. Indoor atmosphere and layout were relaxing and mildly spacious, respectively. Staff were obsequious and professional. We ordered their Farmers Market French toast, agua frescas, huevos sunny side-up and potatoes. Food was great as well as their juice. Prices were competitive. Moreover, it’s mostly metered parking and few public lots in the area.Collectively, it was a good breakfast experience. And we’ll definitely come back. I highly recommend this cafe.

I ordered cheese enchiladas- Lola’s is not the spot for enchiladas ? I got dry, cold tortillas with rubbery white cheese and a coffee cup of sauce. It’s too expensive for just 3 cold tortillas and rubber cheese, rice and beans not included.Literally looking for cheddar cheese, sloppy enchiladas with like refried beans and mexican rice and got this with jasmine rice?I’m willing to give it a try for breakfast but the Mexican food isn’t very good.

I like getting the Oaxaca Choco latte. I've tried the ribeye chilaquiles and barbacoa benedictos and both were excellent. I also recommend the platanos and waffle for dessert.

redownloaded yelp just so i could leave a review. i don't come to eagle rock often but i had some time to kill and decided to grab some breakfast here. i was immediately welcomed by the friendly woman behind the cash register who could tell it was my first time her and gave me the whole run down. the food and coffee was delicious and quick - i had an horchata latte and the breakfast croissant sandwich. while i was sitting and working, other staff members would check in and ask me how i was, brought me water without even having to ask. great spot to sit and work, but also such positive energy and sense of community here!

Don't miss this gem. Delicious food beautifully presented. Warm, charming service. Cozy ambiance. We came as a group of 7 and tried waffles, huevos rancheros, tacos, salads, flan, churros and many coffees. The food is exceptional. And beautiful. If you love to take photos of glorious food, this is your dram come true.
