If you haven’t tried LOQUI Playa Vista yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a great spot for a tasty, budget-friendly, and balanced lunch.
Today I ordered the Achiote Chicken Bowl, and here’s how it was:

• Smell & Sound
Soft lounge music that fits the space perfectly.
You can hear people in the background, but they don’t distract. No strong food smells, just clean, airy vibes.

• Interior & Details
Solid wood tables, warm lighting, and beautiful natural-material sconces. Minimalist, but cozy in the best way.

• Presentation
Single-use but sustainable packaging: thick neutral-colored cardboard. Looks clean, stylish, and thoughtfully done.

• Flavor & Balance
The chicken is juicy with a smoky touch and a hint of spice.
The rice absorbs all the juices, pickled onions add acidity,
and the cheese + guacamole bring softness and a light salty finish. Everything works together perfectly.

• Nutrient Balance
Almost an ideal bowl: protein, healthy fats, carbs. But I’d love more veggies or greens for fiber and freshness.

• Portion & Price
I ate half and felt completely full.
Total: $18 with tea and tip.

• Service
The girl at the counter smiled, took my order quickly, and the bowl was ready in about 3 minutes.

• Final Thoughts & Customer Journey
A simple, smooth, and pleasant experience. A great lunch spot. Especially if LOQUI is close to where you live ☺️

Yum! Loqui is a cute Mexican restaurant located in the busy Runway Playa Vista. Its aesthetic is very modern with bold accents. I love the bright orange marigolds strung around the restaurant. Their menu is pretty straight forward offering tacos, bowls, sides, chips and beverages. Even though the menu is straight forward, they do offer some unique types of tacos and bowls. They have an achiote chicken, mushroom, pork conchita and more!

I got the achiote chicken taco and a pork conchita taco. The tacos are big, stuffed with goodness. Both tacos were delicious; full of flavor and fresh ingredients.

I would come back to try their spicy garlic shrimp taco and their beef birria taco.

Online pickup was super easy. Food is pretty good and healthy. I had a promo on the app for a free chicken bowl, so that was nice.

Ordered pick up from here. Food was ok nothing special and the portions were not that big. It did not really have a specific area to itself just the shared seating area. It was ok but not worth the hype

Good spot for introverted people, I like the out door eating , I've been here twice and ordered garlic shrimp tacos are good , the birra tacos was delicious, I could eat 4 in one sitting, all the ingredients was surprisingly good my first ever birra taco was a good experience I've always hesitated to try any , but after eating the fish taco I thought if that's good I wonder how it would be here, well worth your buck

I order Loqui minimum 3x a month, they are so good. The tacos are top notch and have even been doing the achiote chicken bowl. I’ve never had a bad experience and have taken many an out of town guest to come discover my favorite spot.

We were attracted by the bigger than average size tacos on Google and decided to give it a try. We ordered four kinds of tacos including:

- pork cochinata (very spicy)
- beef birria (a bit spicy)
- achiote chicken
- spicy garlic shrimp (a bit spicy)

Overall I like the shrimp most followed by the chicken. They are not as moist as beef or pork but I likes crisp and clean flavor complimented by shredded veggies. The other two meats are full of juice and can be greasy if you are not into fat.

The portion size is ok. $7 per taco is definitely in the expensive side but hey this is playa vista. The flavors are a modern take on the taco. If you are looking for legit down to earth traditional tacos, this place is not for you.

They got my order wrong. And when I called back, one of the employees said that they would refund my card for the error they made. Also, that only the manager can do the refund. It’s been more than a week, and NO refunds have been done. I just called them back and the same excuse…that only a manager can do the refund and that no manager was in at the moment. The level of dishonesty that’s there. If you can’t refund, just tell the truth. There’s no need to continuously lie to the customer.

Loqui is my favorite tacos in LA, the chicken tacos with flour tortillas are so delicious! The atmosphere is great too! I’ve eaten in 3 different locations and they’re all unique and cool. They have great drinks too! The Thirst Trap Watermelon flavor is my favorite.
