My family and I come back every weekend to this place because the food is the best Salvadoran food out there. We live far, but we keep coming back because of the pupusas, horchata, and plátanos. The pupusas are really good. They have just the right amount of beans and cheese. I am really picky about food, but the pupusas they serve have been the best I’ve ever had. Platanos are also good but I ask them to make them extra fritos. The service is great, the people there are very friendly and kind. Everything in general is great at Los Molcajetes.

It has been far too long since I have tasted a pupusa this good. From the moment I walked in, the service and atmosphere at Los Molcajetes stood out as something truly special. The group I was with arrived just 15 minutes before closing and instead of turning us away, the lady who helped us welcomed us with genuine kindness and went out of her way to find us a table. That small act of hospitality spoke volumes and immediately was a bonus in my bok
Let's talk pupusas. Absolutely phenomenal. The revueltas and plain cheese were awesome and just like I liked them; they were not overly greasy, yet every bite was packed with rich, authentic flavor. Their size might seem small but these pupusas are bursting with so much flavor and comfort that I found myself craving more the moment I finished.
Growing up in Highland Park, I have eaten pupusas from Las Cazuelas and have always enjoyed them. Los Molcajetes has raised the bar, in my opinion. All in all, these pupusas are not just good, they are unforgettable and they remind me why I love coming back to authentic spots like this.

The food is very good! Have been coming here for years! The lady at the register—I believe Ana is rude. I have been there twice and both times she has gave us attitude. She also speaks to the servers very rudely in front of others.
Popusas are on point. Real juicy. If you are looking for authentic salvadorian food this is the perfect place. I did wait about 30 minutes to get seated. That only means one thing , the food has to be great rite

Place closes at 6pm. We arrived at 4:54pm and a lady told us they close the dining area at 5pm. Basically, said they were done with dining even though it wasn’t 5pm. So we ordered 15 pupusas. Were ready in 20 minutes (not bad). I asked for extra “curtido” because what they had given us for 15 pupusas didn’t seem enough. Same lady said that was for 15 pupusas; didn’t give more. Definitely, not going back and looking to find a new place. We’ve been going there for years and found is great. However, No customer service!

Very bad service, we ordered fresh horchata and it tasted like sugar water A leg soup was also ordered, which was served cold, without vegetables and without tripe, the food is very poor quality and not good, bad restaurant.
