This is a must visit in El Sereno! I went here for lunch with a friend on the weekend. Humberto and Christina, the owners, made us feel like family. They were so sweet and welcoming, taking extra time to wait on us and giving us samples of chicharrones and their homemade piña drink. I had the carnitas quesadilla and my friend had their tacos. The portions were huge and salsa was fantastic. They make it fresh everyday. Christina told me about a special type of grain from Mexico...
Mom and Pop store. They gave food to order. Great conversation while you wait, hopefully your not in a rush. The Chicharron is so good. Sold by the pound but can get half. NY daughter absolutely loved the sopes. The tortas are also very good. They have tables in the back. Small liquor store items sold here.
The Mole enchiladas are the very very best that I have ever tried compared to anywhere in EAGLE Rock, Highland Park or East LA. I love these people and this place. Decent prices and authentic quality Mexican food. Come and enjoy traditional Mexican food and see it for yourself. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Los Pinos.
