Great vegan "fish" burger and side salad was superb. Good quality coffee. Friendly and fun staff. With valet parking at the rear of the building it was easy to find a space to put the car. All in all a very high standard all round.

We have been veg for almost 40 years and have been to countless veg restaurants throughout the country and in LA. Nothing compares to the quality, taste, fresh ingredients and fabulous menu as MCafe. It truly is the best of the best.

You can get a great vegan meal here. Most of the vegan stuff has soy in it or soy sauce in it though so watch out. They are organic too, which is really important to me. Fresh juices, gluten-free vegan deserts. Macrobiotic influenced. Recently I think it changed owners and went for a more chain-cafe fast food feel. You check yourself out and the menus are laminated replacing the chalk board on the walls. Still confusing as heck - good luck knowing what you can and how to order! Staff is friendly. Love the kale peanut cold salad in the deli case and the shiitake sushi. Sit outside - it’s a nice eating space right on Melrose. They serve dead fish as the sole non-vegan “foods”.?
