Lovely and historic location within the Original Farmer’s Market. Seems as though we stop by each time we visit LA now, and I always get the Reuben. The corned beef is always tender and weighed for consistency in each sandwich.

This spot is located in the Original Farmer’s Market. We came here on St. Patrick’s Day, and it was a hugeeeeeee line! Took around 40ish minutes to get our food. We got the corned beef plate (comes with cabbage and potato balls) and the pastrami plate (with mac and cheese and creamed spinach as the sides). The corned beef was super tender, and was definitely the star of the lunch. They give you mustard and horseradish to add more flavor. The potato balls were super plain, so it was barely edible. The cabbage was solid. The pastrami had some tender pieces, but some pieces were dry. I overall enjoyed the Mac and cheese. It was thick, but maybe could have had a stronger cheese taste. The creamed spinach was tasty!

“Taste 100 years of experience”Since 1917, this is a small restaurant in the LA Farmer's Market that is now 102 years old. Farmer's Market, one of LA's landmarks, opened in 1934, and according to information on the Farmer's Market website, the market's first restaurant was Meggy's Kitchen. Considering that the restaurant started in 1917, it appears that it was relocated or officially opened after being operated elsewhere. Anyway, it was amazing to see a restaurant that has been around for 100 years right in front of me.When you enter the Farmer's Market, the restaurant with the longest line is the Brazilian BBQ Restaurant, and Meggis is so popular that it has the second longest line.#menuThe most famous dish in this house is <Hand Carved Meat>. In particular, salt-cured beef such as Corned Beef (pronounced corned beef or corned beef), Roast Ham, and Turley Breast are famous. We make plates or sandwiches with these meats. They also serve enchilada plates such as enchiladas and tamales.A variety of delicious American classic side dishes are also provided, so the range of food is quite wide. The hot dog looks delicious too.#Corned_BeefIt refers to whole beef that has been salt-cured, and it is expressed as corn because it contains large chunks of rock salt, peppercorns, and curing agent. Corned beef is whole beef that has been cured with these ingredients added to the surface. The difference between Corned Beef and Pastrami is that if it is smoke-cured, it becomes Corned Beef, and if it is smoked again, it becomes Pastrami. So, Pastrami has a little more flavor, but Corned Beef is more tender. It has been used since the 17th century, but it is said to have been used more to procure food, especially during World Wars 1 and 2, and the recipe was further developed.#Rueben_SandwichIt's one of my favorite sandwiches. It's basically made with a large amount of Corned Beef, and Swiss cheese and sourcraft add flavor. The bread is delicious only when you use Rye Bread, and it's done when you grill it at the end.The taste of the Reuben is completed by well-made Corned Beef, but the refreshing sourcraft adds flavor accents and texture.Cheese must be light Swiss cheese to taste good. The sweetness of oat bread is also an important element that cannot be left out.I couldn't eat a delicious Reuben sandwich because I couldn't find proper Corned Beef in Korea. (There are a few places these days, but they are still childish compared to here.) I was able to properly resolve my resentment here.First of all, the power of hand carving is amazing. The sight of warm whole meat cut into thick slices and placed right on top of the bread, rather than paper-thin machine carving deli slices, makes your mouth water. The thickness of about 0.7cm of meat is piled up in several layers, and the feeling of fullness in the mouth that the soft meat gives is indescribable. The amount of sourcraft was adequate, but the flavor of Swiss cheese was a bit disappointing. (I wish I could add one more piece...) In particular, the Corned Beef here has a soft texture and mild salty taste that makes it less repulsive compared to other places.A taste perfect for Koreans!#Hot_DogAnother main menu item at this restaurant is hot dogs. There are quite a few different types of hot dogs, and I ordered one topped with sourcraft, which my wife likes. The cracking of the sausage was also good, and the taste was quite mild, compared to other sloppy hot dogs that only emphasize the saltiness. The thickness of the sausage was quite thick and it gave me a sense of abundance, so I ate it more satisfactorily than the famous pink hot dog.#horseradishHorseradish is a must-have dish at this restaurant. Raw vegetables are ground and processed properly, so the texture is similar to raw horseradish, but the taste is a bit more refined. If you eat it together with the Reuben sandwich, it cuts down on the greasiness and becomes the center of the taste.I think it's horseradish in Western cuisine and wasaba in Japanese cuisin

Great food! Most of the staff was very friendly but the person taking orders was incredibly rude. I’m not sure his name, but he is tall with light brown hair. I walked up to the register and said “hi, how are you?” before I placed my order. He immediately told me to “make it quick.” After I placed my order, he asked me if I worked at Brandy Melville. I told him no and asked why… he said he was asking because of my “attitude.” I literally did nothing other than ask how he was doing and order a burrito… not sure what his problem was but that was seriously rude and took away from my experience. I will not be back. Please fire him, he is rude to customers for absolutely no reason. For reference, I was here on Sunday November 5 around 12:45pm.

The corned beef plate is the best! Corned beef is moist and full of flavor and it comes with 1/4 head of cooked cabbage and 3 small potatoes.

Had the roast beef and corned beef with a side of mash potato and creamed corn. The portions were quite generous for a $22 meal, as they gave a heaping scoop of mash, a bowl of creamed corn and 2 slices of meat each. The roast beef was cooked to a medium and the corned beef was seasoned well and was very tender. It’d be nice if the meal came with some gravy for the roast beef and mashed potatoes. First time trying creamed corn and it was surpassingly very good.

Ordered two x Norm’s. Meat was deeeelish. Really tasty sandwich, but $44 for two sandwiches is really pushing it! Had to wait a while for the orders to be prepared. Good experience.

Great Reuben. Really tender. Quick service. Kid behind the counter wasn’t that friendly.

Magee’s is my favorite place for corned beef and roast beef, as well as their various side options like cabbage, mac and cheese, baked beans etc.

So good! Tried the Ruben and the pastrami so tender. Also tried the banana peanut butter pudding and the cherry cream soda. Both were delicious ?

Pastrami Reuben sandwich for lunch — over toasted and uneven meat distribution. Meat was also quite fatty. Lemongrass drink was excellent.

Absolutely amazing! Probably one of the coolest experiences ever. Have a sandwich lunch here! They have French Dip, Corned Beef, and Pastrami. Fresh carved right in front of your eyes. They have sides for you to choose also scooped fresh. Organic sodas as well.Parking: The parking lot is very busy during noon hours due to demand. I would park away or try to find a spot after someone leaves.
