Fantastic little walk-up counter right on Melrose, with yummy sandwiches! Great little stop if you are walking a dog in the area, with a counter and a tiny seating area. The bread and butter are excellent. I’ve had the Daniel’s favorite, bresaola, jambon buerre, and omelette, and would happily order any of them again. The price can be eye watering, but if you consider the quality, not out of line with say, the pastrami at Langers. If you’re on Too Good to Go, Maison Matho sometimes has “clearance” items, but they sell out really fast!

Excellent food. The eggs are perfect. Chef Matho knows how to make a quality meal. We drive from the Westside of LA to eat here. Limited outdoor seating. But all is forgiven because the food is sooooo good!

I'd say very good simple sandwich with good ingredients, though a bit expensive. But for the $25 I was full. The roll was excellent.

I’m definitely returning ❣️
I’m telling you highly recommend this French restaurant. I wish I would have taken pictures of the sandwiches we purchased and ate with such pleasure. The ham is perfect in flavor and you can tell on the first bite is not processed meats. The butter spreads creamy and fully flavored. We purchased half sandwiches and it was satisfying but now I would have liked more. Please give them a chance and support this place. Very reasonable prices and the fresh selection of pastries will keep you returning.

Amazing food. The spot is simple, but the baguette is outstanding. The meat is rich and high-quality, and a bit more veggies would bring perfect balance.

Just phenomenal French food from what looks like a hole-in-the wall east Hollywood taco dive. No bathrooms but a few tables you can sit and eat at. We had the big boxed brunch and it was amazing.

I went during the CicLAvia event that took place on Nov 23rd. The place was colorful, and given its location on Melrose, right along the route. Stopped on the way back, ordered a slice of their eggplant & Smoked mozzarella pizza. It was delicious.
