Genuinely the worst night of my life. I’ve been here twice and each time was worse than the other. Only if someone were curious what hell might be like, would I bring them to Mama Lion. Young women should beware. At night, the clientele of this club was like a sleaze-fest to see which man could out-creep the other. Everywhere we turned there’d be old men creeping on all the obviously underage women. While we were there, the men were relentless in their harassment, grabbing at us, pulling at our hands, our waists, getting in our faces. It disturbed me when I turned around to tell a bartender and watched one of the creeps dab them up. Do they have some sort of symbiotic relationship? I will never come here again and I would never bring someone I care about to this establishment. I don’t even know if I’d bring an enemy. Screw this place. Dirty too.

This shit was so whack. Total sausage fest. We got a premium table and the security couldn’t keep all the thirst, poor boys from tryna swipe shots from our table. Y’all gotta do better.

The space itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is lively, which made for a fun night out. The drinks were solid and the music kept the energy up. On the flip side, the food portions felt small for the price, and service was a bit slow once things got busy. Not a bad spot overall, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Same crap other people deal with: Bouncer on a power trip, making excuses to turn away people to (I imagine) satisfy their ego.

Came with 2 friends, wearing a thermal and black pants. Bouncer (in cheap-looking checkered jacket) told me I was under-dressed when I've worn the same outfit here before.

Then, immediately after, lets in a guy wearing a t-shirt. Funny part is, bouncer hides in a corner afterwards to avoid being called out on their bull.

This place is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever been too. The bouncers are the rudest people and I will be pressing charges for putting their hands on me at the door. I was targeted by one of your bouncers while the rest of the group was drinking on top of physically grabbed which is not okay. I expect these people to be fired and this establishment to be reevaluated for who they hire on their staff.

if I could put zero stars I would. IF YOU ARE A YOUNG WOMAN DO NOT GO HERE. bouncers will target young women and put them in danger. This place isn’t safe and I can’t stress this enough‼️ Im a girls girl being a girls girl‼️

The front guy is so mean, even for the dress up. Came here for the first time last night and won’t be coming back. The Asian guy who runs the door is literally the rudest service person I have ever encountered in LA.

This place still gets lit and the drinks are fantastic as usual after all these years. I must say the service is good, and the vibe is vibing. The music is popping, and the sound hits your soul. I recommend arriving there early for first timer like around 1030ish. Otherwise, you'll like be waiting 45 to 1 hour. Late crowd, but l can assure you. Mama isn't a Lion for now reason.

Came here for the first time last night and won’t be coming back. The Asian guy who runs the door is literally the rudest service person I have ever encountered in LA. I was in a group with half women and half men. After waiting in line for a long time they let in all the women and then refused to let in our guy friends. When I went outside to see what was going on, the Asian door guy yelled at me to go back inside. They want lines to create the illusion of buzz but inside it wasn’t crowded at all. When everyone finally got in, one of the guys tried to order a beer and they only had IPAs.

This place is really not special enough to deal with all this drama. Tons of other fun spots in LA with better drinks and better vibes.
