Having Mama Lu’s 5 min away is seriously dangerous! This is one of our fav spots for Chinese spots and for good reason. The food is always delicious and they serve generous portions. What was formerly CBS Seafood is now Mama Lu’s Dumpling House. I think it’s a great addition to Chinatown as it doesn’t completely take away from what the original was, but evolved it.

My favorite from Mama Lu’s was actually the sizzling filet mignon skillet. I’ve always been the person to watch someone else’s skillet go by and wish I had gotten that, but I took the chance to change that when I saw it on the menu here. I expected it to sound satisfying...

Mama Lu’s in Chinatown, LA, is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of authentic Chinese cooking and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu is packed with delicious options, but the spicy dumplings are a standout — perfectly cooked with just the right amount of filling and flavor. The lobster noodles and sizzling filet mignon filet are must-tries as well.
