One of my favorite restaurants in LA! The food is delicious and made fresh. It is owned by a lovely family that are super kind, and you can tell they love cooking and serving food. They have a full vegan menu too. Just finished my lunch and I am already looking forward to the next time I get to eat there.
They also do catering/large orders so keep them in mind for big gatherings.

Had a couple of different types of pupusas at one of their pop up stands at Common Space Brewery and they were incredible. Mouth watering stuff. Absolutely perfect 10/10.

Mama's is an institution! They're committed to helping the community. Not only that, but they have the best tamales in town. They taste home made. Not only the traditional ones, but also 6 different vegan options to die for. Parking can be tricky in that area, but this place is worth the slight discomfort.
Dietary restrictions: Many Vegan options, not just vegetarian!

Picked up tamales for Christmas, there were flies all in the place landing on the wrapped tamales while customers were there to pick them up. Do better. The owner was very nice but the place is filthy

Yummy vegan versions of traditional Salvadorian food, prepared by a mother-daughter due plus other family members. Good selection of Mexican dishes as well. They have a fully vegan menu in addition to the regular one, not just a few options. They are proud of their vegan creations and understand what plant based means, unlike other restaurants with vegan options but not lt much sympathy to vegans.
Mom and Pop, Salvadorian restaurant. Good food. Nice service. Not the greatest location by MacArthur Park. But the food is good.

This small hidden gem is a MUST try for vegan food lovers. As soon as you walk in, you feel a sensation of comfort, hospitality and warmth. You forget you are in the McArthur park area. The service was absolutely wonderful! Salvador kept asking if everything was OK and It truly was. The food here was phenomenal! Every bite was filled with flavor and love <3 The chilaquiles, the jackfruit tamal and the pozole were excellent ? at the end of the service the owner showed a book of where he proudly showed us his familys success in the restaurant industry. I truly was blown away by the hospitality, atmosphere and quality of food. I will definitely be coming back to try everything.

We loooove the cheesy jalapeño tamale, the loroco pupusas are my favorite, but my sister loves the beans and cheese one, and the jackfruit one is good too, but the cheese is a bit overpowering for my taste, so it doesn’t really let the jackfruit shine. When you eat there they give you a gigantic bottle of delicious curtido (cabbage and vegetales with vinagre and aromatic leaves) and tomato sauce (can be spicy or not). They serve award winning empanadas: pastelitos. They are great too. The flan was a different style than I’m used to (Mexican) but it was good and refreshing.
jack fruit tamales were insane.

Can't miss if you're in the area! Everything we had was incredible: tamales, jalapeño & cheez pupusa, pastelitos & yucca frita - all vegan! ?
