I came here with my family to eat and everything was perfect. The lady greeted us with a smile as soon as we walked in and we were seated immediately. We ordered EunDaeGoo Jorim and Gajaemi and they were delicious. Definitely recommend this place and became one of my favorites.

I came to the place, before ordering food I asked her to wash her hands, in response she put me outside and pointed to the fire hydrant so that I could wash them there. I tried to go back to check if I understood everything correctly, but she closed the door and said that they don't work anymore. Awful attitude to the person who came to the place to eat and wanted to wash his hands before ordering food. I don't recommend it!

I came to this restaurant for lunch, but the waiter was rude to me, spoke very poor English, and eventually told me that they were closed and stopped serving me. I had to leave because of the rude attitude, and I was basically refused service.

Korean home-style food with minimal seasoning!
It's hard to make all the side dishes delicious, but each and every side dish is delicious and has a great texture!
My husband always orders two of our black cod stew.
He said he recommended Butterfish to his company employees! Every time I go, my aunts are so kind to me that I feel like I'm with my own family!
I had grilled black cod, grilled flounder, broiler sauce, and stir-fried squid. They were all delicious and I want to try other menu items next time, but I'm so addicted to grilled black cod that I can't eat other menu items. You can think of it as a truly delicious Korean restaurant!
I've been to many restaurants in LA, but Mapo Kkakdugi is the best!

Came across this homey spot in LA for dinner. Aunties were very kind and generous with the food, they also had side dishes served. 10/10 felt like I was in korea.

Best daegu jjorim (braised black cod) and sujaebi in Koreatown, probably best outside of Korea :) Mapo is OG ktown and very authentic Korean cuisine, I highly recommend the two menu items I mentioned. The service was A+
We also ordered the dakdoritang but I didn’t love the white meat, this dish should be made only with dark meat :) also ordered the dduk mandu guk which was good but I prefer the sujaebi.
The two of us were stuffed and ended up a lot of take home leftovers
