Love this family run spot in ktown! Even during the pandemic, pickup has been really easy :) I sometimes come multiple times a week! Everything is so delicious!

Food is great. Especially Kimbap. Chicken wing was also pretty good. However, I had to wait for 30min to get the food, even though there was no one infront of us at 2:30 pm. Also, portions are much smaller than the photos would seem to represent. As tasty as their kimbaps are, it is in no way enough to overcome price, wait time, and portion size.

So good I like the mini kimbops more than the combination Mari kimbop. I always get the odeng fish soup too - simple yet so delicious!! The packaging is done very well (and so presentable) so there is no possibility of spill or have the rolls un-roll.

Favorite Kimbap place in LA!Kimbap is the best picnic food. They package it here very well. Inside is clean and picking up felt safe (call before you order). We had various kimbap -- Bulgogi, (roasted) Kimchi, Combo (kinda mixed with like egg, veggies, etc), and Mari Kimbap (veggies + sausage). We liked the Bulgogi and Kimchi the best. Super flavorful and yummy. More ingredients to rice ratio, which is so important! We had spicy rice cake as well -- Ttokbokki -- it was okay, their rice cake is honestly way too big. They also have FRIED CHICKEN? They highly recommended, saying the chicken came from korea. What? It cookodoodleflew here? I'm not going to question it because it was pretty good. We got the spicy sweet (mae-cho) flavor. Although the chicken wasn't mindblowing amazing like the KFC I had in Korea but it was still pretty good. And you get a good amount for $7.Also I love their branding!! The signage, the aesthetic yellow stripes on the glass and how the light shines through that, the color scheme, the interior walls -- and my cat's name is Mari so 6/5.

Friendly, fairly priced, good food. The gimbap is self serve in a glass case with tongs and the noodles and soups are dished out on request. Many small tables inside. Great fast lunch spot on work hours.

This small kimbap shop is amazing! Owners are super nice! Kimbap was freshly made to order. I got two types of kimbap for on $10...that is almost unheard of in LA (hahaha) definitely will be back for more and I'm hoping I'll get to try more of their menu too!!

When you check-in, free kimbap when you purchase $10. I got the bulgogi kimbap and squid kimbap. When we walked in, we took a tray and tongs and there is a glass case with different types of kimbaps. You can use the tongs to put the kimbaps on your tray and if they don't have the type that you want, you can ask them to make it for you. I also ordered the dumpling and rice cake soup which was delicious. My friends and I shared food, so I also ate the noodles, kimchi rice, and rice cakes (tteokbokki). All delicious. Service was great. They were very friendly and were happy to serve their customers.

Tried a few of the mini kimbaps which were delicious. Also had the blood sausage and dukbokki which went really well with the kimbap. Overall a great experience. Staff was also friendly and helpful.

My Korean friend had to get her Kimbap fix before flying back to Utah. I've had Kimbap a few times before from places in Utah, and didn't really care for it before, but this time, I thought, "why, not?". I can now see what the hype is about. This place is legiT. Absolutely loveeed the food at Mari Kimbap Shop. The ladies who work here are so sweet. I am obsessed with the Buldak Cheese Kimbap. It was actually the perfect level of spice for me. The veggie kimbap was delightful. All of the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Love love love this place. Will definitely be stopping by next time I'm in town to take some Kimbap back home to share with my family. Next time, I'll order like 4 or 5 rolls hahaha .

Never had or heard of Kimbap until I moved to Korea Town, and now I'm a fan. Think of it as Korean sushi without "raw" fish. There are many many different types of cooked fish and other items, such as Anchovy, tuna, and even tempera. I tried the anchovy and tuna the other night, and it was tasty, and full of crisp vegetables (of which I've vowed to eat more of). The man there was very accomodating to my first visit, and even gave me a sampling of their fantastic, brothy, miso-type, soup. Why not a five stars. Not sure my sampling was large enough to warrant 5, but returning very soon, so may upgrade.

fresh, flavorful mini kimbap and larger "special" kimbap for a very reasonable price. odeng soup is always like a mini-hug for your soul. format is similar to 85 degrees: grab a tray and tongs, pick out any mini kimbaps you'd like to try (katsu and kimchi are my favorites), and checkout! the interior and design is clean and welcoming; i always love stopping by after a long day of work when i'm tired, hungry, and want something quick and warm. the employees and owner are so sweet and friendly as well. mari kimbap, thanks for being one of the many lights in koreatown! p.s. the sweet owner will make any kimbap if you'd like a more "custom" kimbap experience. just ask!
