Fast service, great food, quick pickup for online orders or dine outdoors on the spot. The owners are friendly & offer a few spots on their property to park. There's also parking on the neighborhood streets. Everything tastes fresh & homemade. Top 5 tacos in El Sereno 😉

Food was good. Honestly, my parents come here and I had a long day with my grandma by treating her out. Took her here and she had to use the bathroom but they unfortunately didn’t have any. I wouldn’t mind if the situation was for me, but they said no to my grandma (considering they have tables and chairs for you to eat at their house - which legally they should have it available)…. My grandma who could barely walk up their driveway with her cane! They told us to go to Food for Less. That alone left a bad taste in my mouth considering they are a family owned business. For me, family is everything but telling me to take my grandma back down their uphill driveway to food for less? No way, they are lucky we stood there and ate.

O
I was at a conference nearby and found this place from the previous reviews. Grilled fish and shrimp tacos are a must try!
I passed the place before realizing it's a residence. Aside from that, this place makes really good tacos!

Been here twice now. If you want spicy aguachiles, this is where it's at. They know what's up. Got the red aguachiles with callo and green aguachiles. If you're a first timer they give you a free taco dorado which is bomb with their guac sauce. Must try for sure.

Female Cashier with glasses at the front is incompetent and owner has anger issues. Off of their own mistake. Place is not clean at all and seating is extremely limited. Skip.

This place is a neighborhood treasure!!! The shrimp ceviche with mango is out of control 🤤♥️🦐🥭
What an amazing place to eat!!
So far everything we’ve tried & sampled has not let us down!!
Great people there working and Mr chito is a cool cat tending to everyone’s needs
It’s a family thing and it shows how much they all care of the client
The bad..parking (that’s it)
Unfortunately if there is no parking in driveway you have to look on street
Other than that..10 out of 5 stars..
As someone who is currently very mindful of how and where I spend my hard-earned money, I approach dining out with care. Unfortunately, Mariscos El Chito did not meet even basic expectations.
Upon arrival, I was completely ignored while staff loudly argued over a messed-up order. Once they settled down, the woman who finally took my order was visibly flustered and offered no greeting—just a rushed, “I guess I can take your order.” That should have been my cue to leave, but I was craving mariscos and decided to wait it out.
During the wait, yet another incorrect order created more chaos. I waited nearly an hour for my food, only to receive an incomplete order. Running late for my lunch break, I had no choice but to leave with what I was given.
The food? Unfortunately, it was underwhelming and undercooked. I ordered a Baja shrimp taco and a fish basket—both tasted like the seafood was dipped in batter and barely cooked before being served. The jamaica drink, while flavorful, had chunks of hibiscus flowers that made every sip uncomfortable. A small side of avocado cost $2, and was maybe a quarter of a small avocado—pretty steep even considering grocery prices.
To top it off, I noticed my food was ready and sitting on the counter, but the cashier was too distracted gossiping and updating her boss on a phone call to hand it over in a timely manner.
I spent $53, left hungry, disappointed, and late returning to work. The drinks were decent (aside from the flowers), but $6.50–$7 for a 20 oz. cup seems a tad excessive.
Bottom line: Great concept, poor execution. The service was chaotic, the food felt unsafe to eat, and the value just isn’t there. I won’t be returning.
The best hidden Gem in El Sereno gdt the Garluc Shrimp yummy. Everyone is friendly great service.
