I absolutely love MX 30-30!! This is such a gem in the heart of El Sereno. If you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant definitely check this place out. The food is great and the ambiance is also super chill and casual. I ordered carne asada fries. They were soooooo good! The use steak fries which makes it so much better. The portion is shareable. Not only was the food good but the service is wonderful. This is a small mom and pop business and they are so wonderful. High Recommend!

Seriously, it's like stepping into a relative's outdoor kitchen in Zacatecas. We've drive past this location all the time, but now it's going to be a must stop. I will stop just for the cafe de olla. Sabe a rancho! Yum!

First off; my buddy and I found this place on Yelp, feeling hungry for Mexican food, so we thought we'd give it a shot. BOOM! JACKPOT! This place is honestly probably the best Mexican food I've ever had at any restaurant ever. And I've been to a lot of restaurants here in Southern California, in the (626) (323) (310) (213) (818) etc...you get me...An awesome gentleman by the name of Roman runs this place and was very helpful and even shared personal stories while our food was being prepared. My friend ordered the Mole and a chile relleno and I ordered the Plato Mexicano. We shared. Everything we had was OUTSTANDING. Flavorful x 10, salsa and chips all homemade, just the right amount of kick...man! I think I'm taking the family for breakfast in the morning. And I live in the SF valley. IT'S THAT GOOD! Thanks Roman, see you soon and hopefully on the golf course!

If you drive by just fast enough you'll miss this spot. Very clean, super attentive staff with delicious food and even more delicious cafe de olla. The chilaquiles were good. And the green pozole was a bit different as it had both hominy and fresh corn as well as whole pieces of garlic. Not my cup of tea, but I tried it anyhow. Would I come back.. already have for some coffee to go. I'll be back again to try something different. Parking is a bit tough as it is next to USC Hospital on Marengo Street, so early morning or weekend just may be the trick.
Excellent food matched by equally excellent service. Everything was spot on. Don't let the drab appearance scare you away... this place is definitely worth checking out!

Really good place. I had been trying to go and found it closed often. I finally figured out the schedule and have been going regularly. To start, the salsas are excellent. Usually a harbinger of what the food will be like at a Mexican restaurant. Everything I've had has been excellent. I especially like the breakfast. A lot of great choices. I've brought a couple of friends here and they loved it too. It's basically a take out place although there are 4 or 5 outdoor tables that make it a nice place to eat at too. And the couple that run it are very nice. All in all it's always a great experience. Recommended.
