I called to get more information about a family member and they said they would get me in contact with the doctor but they just hung up on me

Decent hospital but disrespectful employees throughout the facility. Youve got Sheriff running around attempting to bully people about parking which is unprofessional ah considering they’re “supposedly” not apart of the hospital, some random black lady with no representation of who she was jus randomly posting notes on folk’s vehicles in regards to parking overnight. Well hell if you end up in the hospital for more than a few hrs, i shouldnt be worried about WHOMEVER attempting to ticket or tow my car. Also why are Sheriff parking on the yellow curb that is for patient loading & unloading NOT Sheriff parking i mean who would give a POLICE a ticket for parking in the red… jus completely disrespectful

I do not recommend this hospital. First they have you wait for a very long time. I came in for an anxiety attack not knowing I was having one, I’ve never had one before in stead of helping me right away they Judge me thinking I was on drugs. I begged for help panicking and helplessly telling the nurse I cane walk I felt like I was gonna faint, the nurse wants to say don’t fall cux I can’t pick you up. I’m like well am letting you know now I can’t stand alone then I ask a nurse for a barf bag and quick she was like you have to ask the other nurse. I was shocked. Then after being taken to xray and blood taken out they give me anxiety and nausea pill it helped I went home but the next morning I was extremely dehydrated I came back again for nurses to be like you again. I was so weak man I really didn’t know what’s going on since they discharged me with no explanation just that I had an anxiety attack. Anyways once I tell the doctor he wants to say well am not giving you an anxiety pill again and I was like I’m not here for that I need a IV asap . Just by him saying that I felt Judged. I was so mad. I’m hard working mom of 3. I don’t do drugs or drink and I watch my health and for this to happen to me was a big surprise. Sadly I had to go again for my daughter and we waiting 5 hours to be discharged and the nurse he recognize me said oh I remember you what happen I told her I had an anxiety attack and she said oh I thought you was on something. In front of my daughter. My daughter is 12 and she even mad a face . I was so embarrassed. After waiting I told the name nurse how long she says girl let me see so rudely and the papers there ready hanging telling me that wait time is 5 to 6 hours. So your telling me I’ve been patiently waiting and I had to ask to be discharged when paper work has been already done. So it seems to me they like to keep people waiting. I live in the area. I will never come back to this hospital they need to train there staff nurses and doctors I know they might come around homeless and drug addicts but i promise you they gonna come across someone very important and caught a lawsuit case, because Discrimination is real.

I am writing to inform you of a recent development regarding my ovarian cyst. During my last visit to my gynecologist, a 7cm cyst was discovered on my ovary. I was advised to return in 3-4 months for further evaluation. However, within a week of my consultation, the cyst ruptured unexpectedly, and I was required to undergo emergency surgery to address the situation.

I wanted to bring this to your attention, as the situation escalated more rapidly than initially anticipated.

I tried but this hospital is ridiculous... no only it took me 15 mins to find parking in the area I'm suppose to go to . I decided to park in the parking structure A cause I was running 20 mins behind for my appt . I'm coming in cause of a leg injury & I had to walk 5 mins to the front . Doctor & nurse are wonderful but we definitely need more parking towards the front . I came only 8 mins early so maybe I should of came 20 mins ahead to have that time to find parking but I didn't kno it gotten worse since my last time here

I don’t recommend primary care here, there’s seldom any openings, I’ve waited months to see my doctor & when they finally saw didn’t truly care to help. I do recommend the urgent care though and the emergency services. They are kind and try their very best to accommodate you.

This is by far enlarge the absolute worst hospital you could ever go to. These people will do nothing but give you the runaround and lie and treat you with the utmost disrespect you could ever imagine possible. Their detox facility is especially bad. I have videos of how these people spoke to me in person and on the phone. I am going to go out of my way to elevate this like I never have before. Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider this place. I would recommend going to a place that has zero stars over this place.

I have not personally gone to MLK hospital but my husband & I received care today from a former RN of this facility. This occurred in Caye Caulker Belize! Her care was excellent and I am a retired RN after 35 years working in Edmonton Alberta Canada 🇨🇦. This nurse (Chris) is retiring in 2 months after 41 years in nursing. I've seen some negative comments here regarding staff but most lay people have no idea how hard working most nurses, doctors, and all the support staff that it takes to run a facility are and they are doing their best. I hope this helps even one of those people at not only MLK but anywhere world-wide. Thank you for your service!💕

fair or reasonable hospital.

Had a terrible experience, came for multiple things and none of them were catered to. Discharged within a hour. Got told to “cross my fingers and hope my baby doesn’t die”

I’m giving three stars because of a nurse practitioner in dermatology who used the excuse “the rooms are too small, only one person” to accommodate my daughter and I in the room with my husband during the dermatologist visit that we wanted over 1 month for! I spoke to a very nice lady who made it possible for my daughter and I to be in the room during the visit. Bedside manners are important. And taking the time to make sure your patient is comfortable only takes a few seconds. I am extremely grateful for the employee who fought for us. Thank you.
