The owner Evelyne is a sweetheart. I showed up late to pickup my pasta and she offered to remake it for me so I wouldn’t eat it cold. It came with bread and yummy cheese. Penne pink sauce pasta 10/10 recommend!

Dietary restrictions: I've been looking for buffala mozz due to dietary restrictions. It is not vegan but it is lactose free, which is my main concern. It has been super hard to find Italian restaurants that use this kind of cheese and I am so happy to have found this restaurant.

I have never chipped my tooth at a restaurant before but I just ate a piece of rock and bit right through it. When I told my waitress, she didn’t even seem surprised and didn’t do anything to make the situation better. I think at the very least she should have called over a manager to apologize to me and let me know how this rock could have been missed when they clean their seafood and how they would improve for the future.

Amazing spot. The sitting area they have in the garden they set up in the parking lot is really nice on a beautiful day. Everything looked so good, I ordered the daily special sandwich with a side of potatoes and it was lovely. The whole staff was friendly and helpful, very peaceful place to relax and catch up with friends while having some great Italian food

I have been to Mauro many times. Last night, when I asked if the front door could be closed as it was very cold in the dining room, I was told that the door could not be closed due to Building Department regulations. The doors have been in the past when it was cool outside. Eating dinner while shaking, made it the only bad night I have ever had at Mauro. Other than room temperature, it was great.

No frills, consistently good food, and a neighborhood staple. The perfect balance of privacy and seeing familiar faces every time you drop in.Whether you want to chat with the staff, who feel more like family, or stay to yourself at a private table, the choice is yours. The waiters aren't overbearing and give you space to enjoy your time. If you're looking for a fussy spot, Mauro is not for you.I must add, if you frequent this spot, you'll know that Evelyne, Mira, and the rest of the staff are amazing and support all customers equally, always. The DJ is an angel and so much fun!*Friday nights low-key dinner*Sunday morning/afternoon lively brunch

Wow what a treasure! Visiting granddaughters in the area and celebrating wife’s birthday. Arrived it’s 1.15p reservations in a Saturday. Promptly greeted and seated like family. Honestly genuine and warm greeting from the staff. Super special vibe!We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer a few glasses of wine and waited on lunch. The service was prompt and the food was cooked and served quickly. Again, the servers and support staff were superb. The food was awesome.I was in the mood for carbonara but did not find it on the menu so I ordered the Penne Porcini and asked for bacon to be added. That turned out fantastic! The other dishes were a hit as well. The lamb shank was fall off the bone and beautifully seasoned. The Penne Primavera was cooked in point and the vegetables and tomato were flavorful. The Fred’s pasta looks like a favorite and was very pleasing. We shared a carrot cake and tiramisu for dessert, had an espresso, decaf Cappuccino and a latte- all on point! Fabulous meal and hope to return soon! Fantastic experienceVegetarian options: There are two-three pages on the menu dedicated to Vegetarian and Vegan options.Parking: Lots of room and well organized

Absolutely lovely!! Family owned and the staff is the most down to earth and nicest I've yet encountered at any LA restaurant. The soups are incredibly delicous and seafood fresh. What a neighborhood gem. This was my second visit and I will return again and again. Also a bonus is they have a parking lot so parking is quite easy, a rarity in LA LA land.

Fantastic food, service & atmosphere! I was with a group of 4 and we walked in no problem for dinner and got a table. The bruschetta, pastas, crepes & other deserts were *chefs kiss*The whole service team made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive. Will definitely be recommending and coming back.

The first time I have ever given any restaurant full stars from point A to B. I was actually shocked. The food is amazing and in my budget. The service was welcoming and attentive. I had their fresh squeezed orange juice, oh oh oh it was great along with an omelette and these sweet blueberry pancakes. It was the right amount of food for what I paid for and it was so good, I want more now. I'm going to get a job here so this will be my breakfast lunch and dinner. Totally shocked.Vegetarian options: Being that I am not, my focus wasn't on this to say how many their are but the menu has gluten free indications for each dish, which is beyond informative.Parking: It's open

Good atmosphere and service. Unfortunately, out of 3 dishes, one was great (eggplant parm), one was disappointing (the salmon tartare is at most 25% salmon and mostly thinly diced vegetables) and the chicken paillard was unbelievably bland, and dry.We were disappointed; the price also did not make sense for us given our meal.I live close by will be revisiting to give it a second shot though and might update my review.
