Hard beans, cold, bland meat and massively overpriced for how terrible it is. The tea was bitter and disgusting. Corn muffins were stale, Mac and cheese was also just crap. This place was terrible. Gave it a chance and won’t ever go back again.

I left Eagle Rock sometime before Max City opened this is the former location of the first weed shop I ever went to way back in 2007, ERHC(Eagle Rock Herbal Collective). Fortunately, the BBQ being smoked here is an improvement on the low-quality product being smoked here before. Every time I come to Max City I'm impressed with the craft and precision the meat is smoked. The presentation is stellar also. Everything tastes good and sauce is on the side which I prefer. Go buy your weed at Cornerstone up the street on Colorado then come to Max's for the ribs

I randomly came across this place craving Texas-style barbecue. There weren’t many people, so the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Some of the tables creaked, probably due to age. Overall, the food was tasty, though the brisket was a bit salty.

Place is neat and cozy, great service.
The food was really fresh even though we arrived 40 minutes before closing time.
The meat was very tender and juicy, doesn't need no sauce

Great service, food was delicious

The flavor was all there, but the meat was a touch drier/tougher than I was expecting, especially the ribs. Great sauce and great service. Worth coming back to see if I just caught the ribs on and off day.

We took advantage of the DineLA special featured ribs, chicken, port brisket and sausage (a true sampler) and loved everything. Don't know what style of BBQ it was, but it was excellent!

We had the Dine LA special for two. This gives you all the meats they serve, two sides, two cornbread and dessert. The baby back ribs, sausage and corn bread were my favorite. We should have ordered something other than the Mac & Cheese. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

This was the worst bbq I’ve ever had. It was extremely overpriced and mediocre at best. the meat was dry and hard. The sides lacked flavor and seasoning. It’s hard to make a bad corn muffin but they managed to. . Do not recommend

Went here for my husband's birthday and had a very enjoyable time. The food was great and the service was great! Will definitely come back!
