McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams is truly special because everything is made completely in-house with no stabilizers or preservatives, using only the freshest local California milk, cream, and organic eggs. I tried the mango, strawberry, and cookies & cream flavors, and each one tasted incredibly fresh, rich, and full of flavor. The texture was perfectly creamy without being overly heavy, and you can really tell the difference in quality compared to ordinary ice cream. They also offer seasonal flavors, which makes me want to come back and try something new each time. Since this shop is located inside Grand Central Market, it feels more like the perfect spot to grab a cone or cup and enjoy it while exploring, rather than sitting down for a long visit. It’s a fun, casual treat that adds to the lively atmosphere of the market.

It says open at 11am. Waited until 11:30 and it was still not opened. We left. No McConnell’s for us. So sad!

I had a great experience at this ice cream shop! I wasn’t sure what to choose, but an employee named Alex was super helpful and patient. He took the time to walk me through the flavors and gave some great recommendations that ended up being delicious. Excellent customer service like that really makes a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next visit!

I want more. That’s it. That’s my review. I’m looking at my photo today as I write this review and wishing I was back in line right this minute ordering another scoop.

I decided to sample one of their more popular flavours, the Earl-Grey Tea & Shortbread Cookies. It was worth going for that one scoop after sampling it. Service was both quick and friendly. Thanks for the after-dinner dessert McConnell!

Poor customer service. I had been waiting in line behind a customer choosing their ice cream for a couple minutes. When someone cut in front of me the employee said the line started the opposite way??? I had seen the line from afar when it was longer and I was in the correct line.

McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams at Grand Central Market is a dessert lover’s dream! We tried a Coca-Cola soda float, mango ice cream, chocolate chocolate, sea salt cream & cookies, double peanut butter chip, and sweet cream caramel brownie—each one was rich, authentic, and absolutely perfect. The flavors are top-tier, making every bite an unforgettable treat. Highly recommend!
