It’s a McDonald’s. There’s a “random security check” that comes over the intercom roughly every half hour, where the employees respond “We’re good”. Probably the only place in the immediate area where you can get a latte or mocha at 3 in the morning, which is nice cause it’s close to the 10, so whenever I’m doing a road trip, I can always start off by going here.
Ordered a coffee but it took 10 minutes to get it. Somehow, my coffee was "sitting" on the sidelines behind the counter. Eventually, the cashier recognized that I was still waiting for it and checked behind the counter l before passing it to me.
It is McDonald's. You order a hamburger. You do not get trampled by wild hippopotamuses. You get a hamburger. You order fries. You do not get lifted to Mount Shasta by half-feral griffins. You get fries. You order a milkshake. You do not find yourself isekai'd into a magical land where you become the chosen one. They tell you that the milkshake machine is out. Perhaps it has been isekai'd into a magical land with hippopotamuses and griffins. But probably not.
