I've been coming here for years. It's truly a hidden gem. The southern breakfast options are unique for LA. I got the catfish combo with eggs and hash browns. My dad got the chicken and waffle. The food was hot and tasty. The service was great! Our server recommended we get the bottle of champagne instead of ordering multiple mimosas and it really paid off. It's a cute black owned establishment. I highly recommend for brunch.

Great soulful place to have breakfast or lunch. Located on Western is between Manchester and Florence. Th menu covers all tastes. Fish, chicken, steaks. Shrimp and grits. Desserts are delicious to look at. Banana pudding, peach cobbler, pecan pie, red beans and rice, hot links. I have eaten here several times. A local hidden treasure. Must visit.

I was treated very poorly with their service through doordash. They told me to cancel my order because somehow in translation my food was picked up by somebody else! Which I had nothing to do with. Most definitely would not order from them again though they have good food.
Absolutely fantastic fried chicken. I hadn’t found really anything that could hit the spot. Lots of places claim southern roots but this place, my goodness, crispy and juicy. Just right.Owner was super friendly too.

Went for the sweet potato pancake. Potatoes and sausage w/onions & bell peppers. Breakfast cut off is at 1:45pm! So, I enjoy the salmon over spinach salad w/balsamic dressing.
