Mediterranean Delight Downtown

was at z's across the street and thought it was a bit pricy considering the rudimentary seating so I noticed MDD across the street and decided to give it a try. the layout was a little weird and the counter man looked like an extra in an eastern European action movie but I was encouraged by the reasonable prices and surprised by the borscht. I ordered a gyro with felafel on the side and it was offered with a side salad or french fries. Sure I wanted the french fries but I got the salad and that salad was one of the best parts of the meal. The star of the meal was the borsch which (beware vegetarians) had beef in it. The Gyro and felafel were fine. I'll be back for the beet borscht

The food was tasty, and the service was okay. The falafel sandwich was really dry, so we asked for a small side of hummus. The hummus was an extra 5$ charge for a super small portion. It also was weird that there is a freezer with all kinds of random stuff by the front counter. Almost like they needed the extra storage, and in the restaurant was the only place it could go.

This was terrible. This food did not look like the picture. The rice was old and soggy. No yellow rice and the cucumber salad was old aswell. I ordered it for pick up and maybe that’s why it was bad. Idk. All i know is that i will never order from here again. THIS PLACE IS FALSE

But asian server I got probably was kinda inexperienced, she just hung a plate for me to self-serve whilst my hands were busy and she was standing and waiting for me to grab it. I literally needed to say “Can you put it for me?” Also a lot of men talking loudly and always strolling around is not creating the best atmosphere to stay…

I was in downtown and stopped for some great Mediterranean food at Mediterranean delight. And let me tell you, it was definitely delightful. I had the super combo and it was tasted absolutely amazing. A nice fellow named Eddie helped me out and he was extremely charismatic and had great service. Highly recommend!

We are from Houston and this was our first time trying Armenian food. Great service and hospitality. Felt very welcomed and like we are part of their family. Definently recommend the beef kabob and the spicy cheese. A must try!
