was at z's across the street and thought it was a bit pricy considering the rudimentary seating so I noticed MDD across the street and decided to give it a try. the layout was a little weird and the counter man looked like an extra in an eastern European action movie but I was encouraged by the reasonable prices and surprised by the borscht. I ordered a gyro with felafel on the side and it was offered with a side salad or french fries. Sure I wanted the french fries but...

The food was tasty, and the service was okay. The falafel sandwich was really dry, so we asked for a small side of hummus. The hummus was an extra 5$ charge for a super small portion. It also was weird that there is a freezer with all kinds of random stuff by the front counter. Almost like they needed the extra storage, and in the restaurant was the only place it could go.

Overall food was delicious. But asian server I got probably was kinda inexperienced, she just hung a plate for me to self-serve whilst my hands were busy and she was standing and waiting for me to grab it. I literally needed to say “Can you put it for me?” Also a lot of men talking loudly and always strolling around is not creating the best atmosphere to stay…
