We discovered Raspados Don Manuel this past year. A great place to stop by for a snack. They specialize in Raspados, ice cream, paletas and Mexican snacks. JJ's absolute favorite is the chocolate covered frozen banana on a stick with nuts-- "very good." I have tried the strawberry paleta a couple of times. You can either get the fruit juice one, or the one with cream. I always get the one with cream. One time it was very icy (not too good) and another time it was very creamy-- good. This is a big shop, very nice, with a colorful and cheerful interior. The reason for the 3 rating is at times service is extremely slow. Since they do custom made snacks, it can be time consuming to prepare. When the place is packed, they never have enough staff to serve the customers. On at least 3 occasions, we've left after seeing the long line, as we didn't have time to wait just to purchase one frozen banana. So our approach if we're passing by is to peek in and see if there is a line, before going in.

This place is FANTASTIC. CLEAN. I CANNOT STRESS HOW CLEAN THIS PLACE IS.Staff is bilingual and extremly courteous. I drove all the way from Venice Beach to try the pepinos locos, diablito de mango, raspado de fresa y vanilla con lechera. Highly recommended ? ? ? ?

This place is awesome, they have a large variety of options. We like to to order the pepinos locos and the biónicos.. but in all honesty everything we have tried here is good.

We found this place on our way to some errands. Best place to get any snacks! The place is nice and clean, the prices are affordable for the quality of food. There are so many try to choose from!
Bought some tostilocos and on the cueritos some had black spots, looked like mold but no good at all, had to return it at the store and showed to manager, she didn’t believe what I found. Not buying them again. They should be more careful on the products.

We came today to get raspados, normally it's not too busy. I get it it's hot out, so there was a line it was moving fairly slow there was only two ladies there working an older one and a young girl. The young one helped us today, she got our raspado wrong and we didn't notice till we got to the car and tasted it. No problem I went back inside let the girl know there was a mistake and if she can please fix it we asked for vanilla and got coconut. She was not happy with me asking for her to fix it had and attitude I asked nicely and was surprised that she had no problem rolling her eyes. She made a new raspado just to put very little of the syrup you can see at the bottom of the cup is just ice so I asked for more and again with the eye roll. Just got my raspado and left.

Wow! I live like 3 blocks away and never knew this great ice cream shop was so close by. What an awesome variety of treats to choose from. I loved the mango ice cream. It’s fantastic. Will definitely come by again!
