The inside of the cafe feels like I'm in a business office or warehouse.

Good specialty coffee. Definitely worth a try. Be patient for a parking spot especially on weekends.

The seating area is a bit broad and at 5pm on a Saturday is not busy. Don’t worry about seating. The matcha is good quality, a little bit pricey, but ask for light or no ice. Otherwise no apparent comments, it was nice, ask for the WiFi password and it’s good to come on a non sunny day.

I got the Hojicha Latte ($7) and Spicy Bulgogi wrap ($15). The latte was a bit sweet (I’d ask for less sugar next time) and the wrap was way too SAUCY / SALTY. I’d get the spam and kimchi fried rice one instead - that one’s more balanced and the seaweed sprinkles on top were really good. They took 15-20 min to make. But I can’t even finish my bulgogi wrap bc it’s too salty :(

really nice outdoor space to work though and there’s wifi.

Memory Look DTLA – A Hidden Gem for Coffee and Matcha Enthusiasts

If you're in Downtown LA and looking for a simple café with unique drinks, Memory Look is definitely worth a visit. With its minimalist aesthetic and carefully curated menu, this spot blends style and substance effortlessly.

Drinks Tried: Matcha Einspanner & Chrome Latte

Matcha Einspanner (8/10)
This drink is a delightful fusion of sweet ceremonial matcha and rich cream top. The matcha flavor is well-balanced—not too bitter, not too sweet—making it a great pick for matcha lovers who enjoy a creamy texture.

Chrome Latte (9/10)
The standout of the two! The Chrome Latte is visually striking, thanks to the activated charcoal, and the taste is just as impressive. The combination of espresso, milk, and charcoal gives it a smooth yet slightly earthy profile, making it a must-try for those who love bold flavors.

Overall Experience

The ambiance is chill and simple, perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The menu offers a variety of creative drinks, from signature lattes to non-coffee options, alongside a solid selection of food. Service was friendly, and the drinks were well-crafted, making this café a great spot for coffee lovers who appreciate quality and aesthetics.

Would definitely return to explore more of their drinks and food!

This is a great Koreatown spot to get coffee and study. The cream tops here are 🔥. I didn’t try any of the food but it looked pretty good, especially the crepe cakes. My only complaints are the cost and the bathroom. My drink costed over $9, but I did sip on it for a while. And the bathrooms were gross, they need to be cleaned! But overall, really cute place and I’ll definitely go again if I’m in the mood for a cream top drink.

Some of the staff here are rude, self centered, and unattentive. Instead, spends time looking at themselves in the mirror. Doesnt bother responding to customer trying to order. Low quality control.

Pretty good coffee spot. I got the einspanner latte and got the strawberry and creme brûlée donut. Both are good.

They have a patio outside too.

This is a coffee shop frequented by young people in Koreatown. The atmosphere inside the store is a bit chaotic, but there is a large space outside so many people can go.
The menu with the name Einspanner is a popular drink and is characterized by an overall strong taste.
The crepes were especially delicious. There were three types. Original, matcha, chocolate. Among them, I had the original and matcha, and I liked them because they were very soft and not too sweet.

I came here to grab a bite to eat and work on my laptop. I came here for the food, when I got here the kitchen was closed and the wifi was not working even with the posted password. The workers looked ready to leave and did not want to help. If the food is not offered then don't put it on the menu.

Donut was so hard it broke the fork twice. I got the matcha and it was good.

They do have a parking lot which was nice.
