I met the founder of Mendocino Farms, Mario, many years ago when he first started out. He is a great guy. I have been a huge fan of Mendocino Farms for years and have been well over 50 times at different locations. But, I feel I had to write this review. Today I had lunch at your Brentwood location. The food was really terrible. I returned the first salad because it tasted spoiled and the salad's replacement your avocado and quinoa salad had brown lettuce and tasted really bad as well. Hardly any dressing too. My order came out 15 minutes before my friend's order. My friend went to the counter to ask where her food was and the server said he didn't know. The wine that I ordered with my meal came 5 minutes after my entree was served. The glass was still warm since apparently it had just been cleaned, so the cold chardonnay was now lukewarm. The glass was only a quarter full when served. Lastly construction is still going on at this location which is disruptive. This experience was really a bad one and I will not go back to Brentwood. I'll try another Mendocino Farm one more time and if the same thing happens, that's it. I'm done.

I just popped into this Mendo Farms to grab a bite to eat. My morning was pretty covered up and I just wanted to sit down and catch my breath. The food was delicious, as always. However, what struck me was the tremendous experience I had with all of the staff. The person that took my order wasn't annoyed in the least, by my substitutions. They even made recommendations for something I might like. Itzel was aware of what was happening in the restaurant. If someone seemed unsure of where to go, she helped them. If someone had been waiting, she checked on their order. One of the staff, didn't get the name, saw I had finished my meal and asked to take my dishes. I had a delightful experience, just the break I needed. Well done, Mendo team!

Good place for well-filled sandwiches. However… British person here: why do American restaurants make it almost impossible to place an order without giving a US phone number? This would be unheard of in the UK and makes grabbing a quick bite so much harder if you’re a visitor.
Vegetarian options: Vegan banh mi is good, vegetarian pesto caprese also good but when I wanted to order it, was told it is not on the menu in the restaurant, you have to ask.

This is the best Mendocino Farms, time and time again. The food is always so fresh, and the staff are incredibly attentive and kind!
The only bummer is the construction that has removed the outdoor dining. If I remember right, the construction started on this building early 2023? I reeeeally miss being able to have some sun and play foosball on the patio. Hoping the construction will wrap up soon!??

Service is horrible here. They process your pick up order WHEN YOU GET THERE and let them know that you are there for a pick up order. Several times, they FORGOT to process my order even though I told them that I came for a pick up. So, I just waited over 30 minutes at the pick up area without knowing that they “forgot” to process my order. I understand that they are busy, but believe that they should have a better quality control for their service. The manager there doesn’t care at all. She just said “sorry~”.
Because they will not process your order until you show up and “check in” in person with them in the restaurant, there is NO point to order online if you want to save time. This is more true if they “forget” to process your online order. You will get your order faster ordering in person there in the restaurant.
The management team should really think clearly what they trying to do.

We placed a catering order that hit a few snags due to miscommunication. Ana fixed it quickly w a smile on her face the whole time. She saved the day and our party.

Food is great. The ingredients were high-quality, fresh and flavorful. The Pink Lady Beet and Goat Cheese salad was a standout—perfectly balanced with a combination of sweet, sour and savory. Definitely recommend getting their salads as it seemed to be one of their signature dishes too. They are a bit short-staffed but the quality of food is really great if you want a good and healthy meal.
