Messob Ethiopian Restaurant

We had a special birthday luncheon for my husband and family and it was absolutely perfect! Incredible food that was new to many in our clan, and thoroughly enjoyable to all!!! The service was fantastic and we had a marvelous time.

I was very upset coming here 😒 we ordered samosa and they served every one before us that came after us the cost of 2 tej was $24 and the food portion is very small 😑 and we wanted to leave and only pay for the drinks the lady wouldn't let us. The guy owner does favoritism for the people he knows 🙄 and neglects his other customers. Very unprofessional Ethiopian house. They got are stuff wrong still didn't offer any discounts other places to go around there don't waste your time here. Ty

I’ve been going to Merkato for years and the one day I got convinced to try Messob I was completely upset about it. Not only was my fish unseasoned & burnt, there was hair inside of one of my sides! When i asked if i could just get a different side they said yes. Instead of them taking the entire plate, a server came over with a spoon to scrape off the side that had hair in it. I then asked for the red lentil & they said “for that one, there will be charged” I’m so confused how you could bring me a plate with hair & burnt fish & not even accommodate by giving me the lentil i wanted. I will literally NEVER come back here. Merkato is a million times better.

We came 222 Messob for a late dinner. They could have denied us service as we arrived at 9:35pm and they closed at 10pm, but they didn’t. They welcomed us into the most culturally rich & warm environment where they would serve us delicious cuisine! Our experience was so lovely start to finish. We really appreciated that the menu was thorough in description of the dishes & the dining etiquette. Our food was perfectly nourishing & so tasty. We celebrated my cousin’s birthday & it was his first time having Ethiopian food. he hardly said much and remained focused on eating his meal, but he was definitely smiling in awe at his experience the entire time. Thank you 222 all the wonderful women that provided great service and made sure we were enjoying our dinner. What a pleasure!

The food was DELICIOUS! The serving sizes were generous , we ordered 3 meals for our family of 4 where everyone walked out full and happy. The room is beautifully decorated and has a nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back again tomorrow. One of good memories from LA 😊

They need to update their hours online. It says they close at 11p, but I called at 9:45 to pre order my meal and they said the kitchen was closed already. Also they don’t do takeout either way. I am visiting from Hawaii and will not get an opportunity to try the food unfortunately, what a shame, very disappointed bc I was already driving there and was expecting the online hours to be accurate.

Awaze tibiae was bad, the meat was uneatable, alecha beg tebse meet was going bad you can smell it when you put it in your mouth, it feel like it was rotten

Waited for an hour being told it is coming, it will be here, and give us few minutes..etc, which was much bothersome than the actual delay....and more that I don't want to write down. I won't bere again.

Meat and vegetable shared platter was soooo filling and delicious. Amazing flavors. Clearly, the food is prepared with love.
