Right across from the Galleria. They have their own parking. Too many pictures of the food on the wall. Bit overwhelming. 6:30-10:30 am they have breakfast specials. Noodle house. In one of the photos you can see there are 4 large plastic container with hot soup. Not sure if that will help if you are trying to avoid microplastics. Noodle soup is good. I have the spicy seafood soup and the bean pancake. The side dishes are tasty. They also sell kimchi.

Miari Son Kalguksu is a noodle house located on Olympic Blvd in Koreatown, specializing in clam kalguksu. The clams are fresh and pleasantly chewy, and they’re well-cleaned — no fishy smell or sand, which is a big plus. The broth is light and clean, and you can add salt or pepper to your liking.

One downside is that, despite the name “Son Kalguksu” (which implies handmade noodles), the noodles are machine-made. The texture and consistency were uneven, and they didn’t pair as harmoniously with the broth and clams as expected. When I asked the restaurant about it, they explained that due to volume, they had no choice but to switch to machine-cut noodles.

Interestingly, they also serve milmyeon, a traditional cold noodle dish from Busan. The noodles were pleasantly chewy, but the broth base was made with young radish kimchi (yeolmu), giving it more of a kimchi noodle vibe. If you’re looking for an authentic Busan-style milmyeon, this might not be it — just something to keep in mind.

While it might not meet expectations for fully handmade noodles or traditional milmyeon, overall the taste is satisfying and reasonably priced for a casual noodle meal. The kimchi and barley rice served as sides are delicious. Just be aware that parking can be difficult during peak meal times.

Atmosphere and restaurant was nice, servers were friendly. Food was mediocre. Parking was a headache. Servers also shame you for your tip. Never again.

We went for dinner during the week. They have a lot of parking in the structure under the shopping center where they are located.

The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. It was like walking into someone's home.

We started with boiled dumplings. The dumplings were so soft and pillowy. They were stuffed with meat and vegetables. They also bring you kim chi. You can get white or purple rice. They also have iced corn tea on the table for you.

We got the ox knee casserole. Lots of fatty pieces of ox knee to flavor the broth. And lots of vegetables that absorbed the flavors of the broth. So hearty and comforting.

The kim chi and clam soup with knife cut noodles was my favorite. The noodles were so soft and delicious. The clams were fresh and added a brininess to the soup.

We also got a cabbage and short-rib soup. The large pieces of short-rib with meat still on the bone. The meat just fell off the bone. The cabbage just absorbed the broth.

All the soups were so good and cannot wait to come back and try more. Service was friendly and so helpful.

This is one of the few restaurants in town that never disappoints with both food and service. Even when it’s busy, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The 밀면 was delicious, though a bit on the sweet side. I think it would be even better with some sliced egg garnish on top. Still, I always enjoy my meal here—such a consistently great spot!

If Korean celebrities FROM Korea are visiting LA and are coming here for Korean food, you know it’s about to be good! Tucked away in the corner of the Olyford Plaza (next to Koreatown Galleria), you’ll find Miari Noodle House—home to the most delicious and authentic Korean food. They specialize in homestyle cooking with some of our favorites being the pancakes, ox knee soup, and pork ribs with ripe kimchi. Everything was just bursting with flavor! Their kimchi appears to be made in house as well. The servers were super attentive and helpful! Everything about this spot was very unassuming, but it definitely blew us away. Highly recommend anyone to come check it out! They are severely underrated!

Pro parking tip: Park in Koreatown Galleria and walk over!

The downside is that the parking lot is narrow, so it's difficult to park a car. The mall is small, but there are a lot of people looking for it, so a lot of cars come here, but the parking lot is small, so it's hard to park. That's why I give it 4 stars minus 1. The staff and owner are all friendly and the service is good. I always go there and buy packaged monkfish stew and kimchi (freshly made, uncooked kimchi-style kimchi), but the freshly made kimchi is delicious. If you like dumplings, you will like them... I remember hearing that this place's dumplings are delicious, so I bought them and tried them in ramen or dumpling soup at home. They were really filling and made the dumplings delicious. I will definitely buy dumplings every time I go to LA and keep them in the freezer to eat... The food at this place is basic, but it's a little bland for my taste. It's a little bland, but it's delicious because I'm from Gyeongsang Province, which eats salty and spicy foods. Park in the parking lot. Even though it's hard, I always order because of the friendly owner and delicious food...

The taste of home, the taste of mother’s cooking! The clam stew soup is very refreshing and delicious, the steamed monkfish tastes good for the price, and the mung bean curd is especially delicious.

Yesterday, I ordered clam kalsu and steamed monkfish. The steamed monkfish was delicious, but the noodles weren't chewy and even though it's only 2-3 minutes away from home, the noodles weren't very tasty.

Worth the hype. We got clam noodles, rice cake/dumpling soup, handmade dumplings. The noodles aren’t homemade but the broth makes it worth it. The dumplings are meat filled and delicious. Their green onion kimchi and radish kimchi > cabbage kimchi. Apparently they also sell kimchi and Mandu dumplings separately (currently $10 each). They also have breakfast specials from 6:30-10:30am

It is so sad, I used to love this place but no more..16.99 clam soup has exactly 8 small clams.
2 empty shell.

This place unexpectedly exceeded my expectations! The service is outstandingly good: friendly, attentive, and fast. The restaurant was full of people at lunch. The food is super delicious! The pork bone are perfectly cooked, and the rich broth is full of flavors. The fish tofu soup was very good too. Everything feels so homemade. The fire pot menu in general is amazing! Totally recommend!

I read a review saying that barley rice was served, but we didn't have it. Kimchi and two bowls of kalguksu (clam kalguksu and spicy seafood kalguksu) were served, and the soup was refreshing and the seafood was fresh, just like at a kalguksu restaurant in Korea!
