Loved the food here. I had shrimp scampi and my husband had an Alfredo dish of some kind. Both of us loved the food. The shrimp was very fresh. Oh and the bruschetta was AMAZING. The service was quick, attentive, and excellent. Our waiter even sang when the music started playing, and we were so impressed. It was perfect ambiance-- exactly what you want an authentic Italian joint in LA to feel like.

First time guest tonight and was very disappointed. I was meeting some friends here and called ahead to check the menu. I asked if there were gluten free options to which the hostess said there was. My son and I both ordered gluten free pasta - one Alfreda and the other Puttanesca. Neither of our pastas were cooked. It was just a nice looking plate of raw, crunchy pasta. We told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen to remake. She came back to our table minutes later to tell us they had run out of gluten free pasta and also run out of gluten free pizza. What a joke! I ordered the antipasto salad which wasn’t great because it was big chuncks of cheese and entitled slices salami! It was difficult to eat.My son ordered chicken with veggies because that was all they could offer. Just plain steamed broccoli and two chicken cutlets with salt and pepper for $25.95. Blah. Won’t be returning.Dietary restrictions: They offered gluten free pasta but didn’t know how to actually cook the pasta.

Eaten here at least 10 times over the past few decades; covers the red sauce Italian restaurant territory (a land I love) well, and sometimes can be great. The place itself is legendary, with the old Pig N' Whistle furnishings & fiascos on the ceiling. The piano/singing waiters (something I can usually do without) is now my favorite thing there; old Hollywood at its greatest (well, if you can't get a spot at Musso). Don't ever change -- long live Miceli's! Save me a table upstairs near the music! I'll be back as soon as this darn virus blows over.

A well known Hollywood institution, my friend used to come here 40 years ago. I loved it immediately because you can feel the history and the moody ambiance is fun and atmospheric. The service is good , prices reasonable and the food delicious,. We had fried zucchini ( deep fried zucchini fritters), spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread and lasagne. Everything was delicious but pretty rich ( the garlic bread large slices of doughy deliciousness). Only fault is that the meatballs, marinara and lasagne had a lot of garlic. I understand, being Italian , this is expected but it was almost overkill ..Overall, I loved it. Recommend .

Was in the mood for authentic Italian and decided to bring the family here for dinner. Very overpriced menu for traditional food. Extremely undercooked chicken breast (Parmesan). I rarely send food back but had no choice. Terrible service from our waitress. She barely brought us any refills or checked on us. When she did come by, she forgot almost every time to bring what we asked for back. I watched her at other tables hover over the customer as they paid on the portable card reader to see what her top would be. When she tried to do it to us, we had to ask her to give us a minute and come back to avoid the awkward looks she gave. Disappointing experience and this place is probably living off of its former reputation but not nearly what it may have used to be.
