Honestly the food wasn’t anything to rave about. Confused by the 4.7 rating. My friend and I had the chicken shawarma plate and our taste buds were underwhelmed. Wasn’t bad but everything was under seasoned.
I went here with a group of coworkers on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch (~12pm). Surprisingly, at that time, it wasn't busy. This is a very tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant that isn't found on the main street of LA. Inside the restaurant is small, so they have tables outside. There is a lot of shade, so it's pleasant to sit outside. Parking, however, could be a hassle if you drive here. The tables are located on the street and near the parking lot. Meaning, it felt...
I don’t even know where to start! Mima has become my go-to spot for everything I love in a dining experience — top-quality food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and genuinely friendly staff.
I’ve tried their chicken shawarma, spicy Adana kebab, kibbeh, Hummus Beiruti, classic hummus, and lentil soup, and every dish has been absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! It is the best place to eat in LA downtown.
