This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.

Stunning restaurant and bar. Staff was friendly and the food was excellent. Snapper comfortably fed 4 and we added some of the yucca sucia and tostadas with salsa de molcajete. Only downside was that the menu is not up-to-date, and multiple items were not available despite being featured items.

So the two of us are drinking mezcal in a place that has the largest collection of mezcal and Tequila in the United States. I just had a mescal tasting that comes traditional with cooked agave, fried crickets and goose berries. It was am amazing and highly educational experience coming to Mírate. The bar tender James is like a historian, and they teach us about it as you do the tasting. What a fascinating experience, I never knew anything like this even existed. This place is like a mezcal university

Very nice place with delicious food!!! I loved the settings of this restaurant and the presentation of the food is excellent, as as so tasty. The drinks are way too expensive for what they are… I had much better margarita, I am sure they could make it better.I’ll go back for nice dinners.

Just make the resy, you won't regret it.Wheelchair accessibility: No elevator in sight but there is an accessible entrance in the back of the buildin. It would be best to call or write in your reservations notes that you want to be seated on the lower level.

Host was accommodating and service was good. Drinks were fairly good but not the best. However, the food was fantastic. All the dishes we ordered was extremely fresh and delicious. Next time will bring party of eight so we can get the tables on the third level which has better view. They are lacking, possibly some music or a mariachi band.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life. Everything was top-notch — from the cocktails to the coffee, the appetizers to the dessert, the mains and the atmosphere. The pork belly tacos, mezcal, flan, smashed avocado, and Oaxaca coffee were particular standouts. Hard to find a better all-around restaurant. Definitely coming back again.

What a hidden gem in the city. I felt like I was stepping into a gorgeous hotel in Mexico City. While I only stayed for a drink at the bar, everything I had was insanely delicious and my bartenders, Sophia and Adam H were fantastic. They were very welcoming and informative and introduced me to some wonderful spirits. I cannot wait to come back and have a full meal here, the hamachi appetizer was fantastic.

Don't buy gift cards/certificates from this business owner. I was given a gift certificate to their sister restaurant (their description, not mine) then they closed that restaurant before I could use the gift. Even though it's a "sister" business with the same owner, they won't honor it. Better off holding onto your money and just taking someone out to dinner than get a gift card.

I wanted to like this place sooo much but it was just ok. The food lacked flavor and it was a bit overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere is beautiful and it does have parking in the back (not free)

It was a really nice brunch experience and we enjoyed all of it. We chose this place from the list of LA restaurants with best interiors and it was on point.Parking: There is parking by the Dresden which is across the street through the alley on the backside. It’s cheaper to park there ;)
