I'm town for LA ComicCon and did my usual research to scope out what's around and amongst the many sushi places near LA Live downtown, the reviews drew me to a small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall place. It did not disappoint. I add my voice to those singing their praises. The place is small but the food is amazing. I was able to spend a few minutes chatting with the owners and they are wonderful people who you can immediately appreciate how much they are personally invested providing an amazing sushi meal and time permitting chat with you. Something we don't get enough these days. If you're into sushi and find yourself in downtown LA, this is a MUST visit location.

Hello, we ordered sushi for pickup today at 7:41 pm. The total was $75.51. I think there was a mistake! They recommended and charged me for four different types of sushi. However, there were only two different types in the bag. I had asked for extra space so that it would be enough for four people, but we practically had to fight for it.

Best sushi ever. This is not an elegant restaurant. Only a few tables and most come in for take out. I suspect he’s waiting to elevate to a dine in. You won’t be disappointed

What a great, unassuming sushi spot. The fish was extremely fresh. The presentation was immaculate. The service was on point. And then the prices were great so an incredible value. I'm definitely coming back. It's small inside with only a few tables, but that adds the cozy feel. Really impressed on quality, service and value. Wow!
We spent all day traveling from alabama and when we finally got settled, we decided we could really use some sushi. Best decision we could have made. The workers(owners?) were the most accommodating and friendly people we could have hoped for. We are clueless about how to get around town without having to take out a second mortgage, so they WALKED DOWN THE STREET TO GET THE BUS SCHEDULE FOR US. That is going to save us southerners a ton of money, time, and frustration. They didn't have to do that, but they did it for us anyhow.
The sushi is perfect of course, so let's get that out of the way. It was so good that, even after eating until we were stuffed, we ordered another large roll to take to the room so we could relive the experience later.... but now we're regretting not getting two.
We may very well be back again before we had back for alabama.

Felt like a Mom & Pop Sushi Restaurant, since it didn't have the bar, just four tables did nicely, The food was really great you got to have the Miso soup, not just the price but the taste was superb. Will be back again for sure.

Sushi is so good! Fish is extremely fresh! The chef prepares it with care, husband and wife and the lady is serving. Such a pleasure to have found this spot. I RARELY go to the same restaurant twice. Since I go on business trips I always like to explore as much as I can. But this place… I was here three times in a week!! Must visit if you are in DTLA
