Good: waiter was awesome, really nice and super attentive; meatballs! Bad: acoustics are not good, one loud table in the place ruins it; tables are super close together and there was a newly acquainted couple next to us and oh my did he pour in the cologne in abundance Ugly: I chose linguini with clams and there were 3 fresh clamshells on top of the pasta and then a ton of canned clams; overwhelming amount of butter; not good.
OMG!! we came here before the Angus and Julia Stone concert (around the corner from the Orpheum Theatre) the last Saturday in June and what a cozy little joint this place is! We sat at the bar
Service was spot on, my wine was delicious (a Chenin Blanc) and the Bolognese Pappardelle was mouthwateringly good! The wine list consist of natural wines. Such a chill vibe in here but we were early in our reservations so keeping that in mind I'd say it might get busier the later the hour. Also be aware they do NOT take cash for payment of your meal. They do, of course for tips just not for the meal.
Not a lot of room in here so don't come with the thought of a romantic dinner for two where you can whisper sweet-nothings to one another without someone else overhearing hahaha.
Parking lot was well lit behind the building, it is shared with the Theater.
Respectfully Reviewed.

In the middle of downtown LA, a great pasta.
I loved the artichoke and pasta and censor salad , but did not love the olive desert, I'll order teramisu next time.

We had several hours to pass the time while in downtown LA. We looked around and found that most places were closing near 8 pm. We came across Mona pasta bar and did not regret the visit. Their pastas are handmade and fresh. We tried spaghetti alla vongole, which was outstanding! Expect to spend $100 dollars for dinner for 2. We had a great experience, and hopefully, we can return soon!.

We ordered the flash pan fried Brussel sprouts, burrata and heirloom salad, cacio e pepe, and vongole pasta. Everything was DELICIOUS!! So much flavor, perfect portions, and welcome plated. The service was wonderful - she was friendly, but didn't linger. A new favorite spot I will be returning to often!
All I can say is THE BEST WINE THE BEST PASTA THE BEST TIRAMISU We traveled all the way from Scotland and seen a lot about this wee wine cafe/restaurant so we thought we had to try it! All I can say is this will not disappoint from feeling so welcome from walking in to leaving and experiencing to date the best wine, side, pasta and desert to date! Will definitely be visiting before we head back to Scotland

Came here before a concert and was really impressed with the food at this spot. Some of the very best fresh pasta we’ve had in LA. All the dishes were homey but still prepared with a lot of finesse. Highly recommend the meatballs, pappardelle bolognese, bucatini cacio e pepe and tiramisu. If you’re at the Orpheum for a show, definitely stop here for dinner beforehand.

While the menu selection is limited, the food is outstanding. Maria, the waitress, was attentive without being pushy and was knowledgeable and helpful with our wine selection. It's a small place and it quickly filled up, so the noise reverberated a bit, but it added to an energetic evening. Did I mention the food was fantastic!
Good was fantastic. Staff accommodating. Only issue we had was that they said they didn't see my reservation. Not sure where the disconnect happened but they took some items off our bill to make up for it, which was above and beyond expected. Will definitely go back next time I go to a show around the corner.
