Great KBBQ restaurant in a legacy Ktown mall. The variety and quality of meat was great, very fresh and well seasoned.
The banchan was the most impressive, lots of great fresh vegetables, tofu, and even a fried banchan that matched well with soju.
Overall, it was great and good for groups. My only comment was that when it gets late, they’ll play loud music and it’s difficult to chat. Other than that, would recommend.

I go for the Abalone porridge all the time! Soooo good and side dishes very fresh which is very important.. although they don’t open until 10am now. They should correct that online so people like me knows not to go at 8am with a hungry stomach… ☹️

Best Korean bbq experience I’ve had since moving to LA. Met the owner who expertly cooked our meat and instructed us on how best to enjoy each course. Our waiter, Jaden, was particularly attentive, friendly, and kind. Parking was a breeze, 3 hour validation, and we got seats within 5 mins of showing up on a Friday night (around 8pm). The quality of the meat was top notch, especially the dry-aged pork belly. If you’re looking for kbbq in Ktown, this is the spot

I think the place has been newly renovated. Food was excellent as was the service (thank you Sophie and James!). Tons of parking in the mall (they validate) and the restaurant is easy to find. Go for the BBQ obviously but try some of the starters (chicken wings and korean calamari were yum...).
I would NOT recommend for people to come to this restaurant. An old lady that seemed to be the manager was yelling and berating kitchen staff in front of the customers the WHOLE time. Only thing that made the experience bearable was the kind waitress that attended us. She was great and saved the meal for us.
100000000% need to fire the manager and get someone that treats their staff right. Maybe then it won't be too awkward and uncomfortable to eat there.

I celebrated my birthday here recently with 14 other friends and Hailey/Sophie + their staff made it so special! They were accommodating me very well with some reservation updates and provided me a a delicious free cake (for the large group reservation) as well. The food and ambiance plus the attention of care from their staff constantly made my dinner feel amazing as all our tables were sat close enough together in the corner. The meat quality for our combos were great and fresh. They also gave us some free service drinks and the owner came around giving us a sample of their fried chicken. I can't thank the whole team at Mountain San KBBQ enough. Our friends agreed that this was a great place to gather for birthdays or just because in the future! Thank you to the whole team and management!!! :) I highly recommend to try this spot out in Ktown, you won't regret it.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS highly recommend! The meat was so high quality and the flavor was so profound that no sauce was even required! Definitely check it out one of my new favorite spots!
Tips to get in: since we went at night it was hard to find because the plaza was closed but you can park on the side then walk to the parking garage on the left side Of the entrance and use the elevator to P4.
