Mr. Charlie’s was the first vegan spot I truly fell in love with. This isn’t just a fast food joint—it’s a full-blown experience. The branding? Genius. The food? Addictive. The nostalgia? Real. I still remember biting into that Not a Cheeseburger for the first time and thinking, yup, they did that. The fries hit every time, and don’t get me started on the Not a Chicken Sandwich… crispy, juicy, and everything I missed—minus the cruelty. From the red boxes to the cheeky...

The food is good, but the atmosphere is slightly hostile. You order at a kiosk while music is blasting in your face. Then a group of people prepare your order and drop it on the counter. There is zero human interaction, they don’t even speak to you. The tables and seating area are always put away one to two hours prior to closing time. So if you show up during in that time window, prepare to eat in your car, or while standing on the street. It’s weird for sure.

I took my mom who is not vegan and has always enjoyed McDonald’s. She thought it was really fun. I enjoyed their French fries as they reminded me of McDonald’s fries. The not chicken nuggets were delicious. Their burgers reminded me of McDonald’s but were more substantial and tasted better. We also tried the Mr.FluffHead which was delicious and creamy.
